i get my travelers checks at my bank. with my account i get them free but even with a fee they are not out of sight in price. a good thing is it takes years for them to expire so you can save the leftovers for another vacation.

AAA used to issue traveler's checks as a free benefit of membership. I thought someone told me that local office was issuing some kind of cash card in lieu of actual checks. Maybe we should investigate it before our next trip.
