Thumbs up Just returned from the Tamarijn

We just returned from the Tamarijn (11/7-11/17/05). Please view our trip report I've just submitted. I don't know how long it will take before it's posted to the board. Thanks to all of you for your input before we left on our vacation. The info we received was very helpful, not only from our specific questions, but also from other postings. Aruba is a beautiful island with friendly people. The memories Bob & I built will stay with us for the rest of our lives.

Best,
Jean & Bob, Racine, Wisconsin

What is the best all-inclusive spot to stay?

That is a tough question. Depends on what you want. We like the low rise area because of the waves and fewer people. The high rise area has lots of people and makes the beach crowded. Since the Divi & Tam are strictly AI there are more people out at night. When you go to a hotel that does AI and also just rents rooms, the people who just rent rooms tend to leave the property and go somewhere cheaper or more lively. The Divi is always hopping at night.

Since I have two small kids I am not looking to "party" at night. So finding a spot that is less crowded sounds great to me. Most of my play is done during the day and at night I crash hard.

We just returned from the Tamarijn on December 24th. Absolutely loved it! Food was good. Staff was terrific! Can't say enough about the place! (Will post a trip report as soon as I get a chance). I highly recommend staying there.

We had the Mega All Inclusive package which gave us access to the Divi too, but we had enough to see and do at the Tamarijn so we didn't even use the facilities at the Divi.

We will definitely be returning to the Tamarijn again!

Helen
