Default Snorkeling at Baby Beach

We've heard that Baby Beach is really good for snorkeling. I don't know the condition of it at this point, but we are interested. Any recommendations?

Default Re: Snorkeling at Baby Beach

Assuming it's recovered from Ivan, it is indeed a good area for snorkeling. It's a very shallow lagoon, so it's easy to get in and out of and swim in - just outside of the reef is much better snorkeling, but it takes a bit of effort to fight the current and waves. Well worth it! I don't know if the reef is even there anymore, I've heard that it was demolished by Ivan and a new reef/island created.

Bring your own snorkel gear if possible, that way you're self-sufficient and sanitary. Other good areas to snorkel are Arashi Beach and Mangel Halto/Spanish Lagoon...
