Question Sunset Cruise & Cocktails - recommendations

I cannot wait to go on my trip so bad that I just woke up to ask about the booze cruise situation......I must have been dream/planning my trip. I am looking for a mellow-up beat cocktail cruise...music, drinks, happy people and a beautiful Aruba sunset. I have seen pictures of people swinging on a rope off the ship.......optional I hope! (PS What's the story with that?) Can anyone recommend a nice cruise, not necessarily for dinner, although ok, I'm about the sunset scenery and a bunch of nice cocktails-with music. Thanks

We went on a sunset cruise using Pelican tours...It was great for the sunset and the drinks, music...It wasn't at all croweded and the people were just chillin and it was very romantic. We opted for the dinner package, once the sail was over we ate dinner at the Pelian's nest restaurant at the Pelican Pier where we boarded. It was excellent, I don't hear much about this place, but it was really good. The wait staff was so friendly and accomodating. The ambiance was excellent and your right over the water on a pier. Pelican docks near the Holiday Inn. I have heard so many comments about other companies, as this has been my only cruise company experience. We did the sunset cruise and went on a snorkeling/brunch cruise with them.

Jumping off the rope, party lights and all the party people would be on the "Mi Dushi" party boat. It looks like great fun...and I have heard nothting but good things. There are several sunset cruise companies to choose from. Do a little research on other websites, you will be surprised what you find out.

What ever you do have a good time!

Question Re: Sunset Cruise & Cocktails - recommendations

Is the Pelican cruise you describe on a sailboat?

It was either a Trimaran or a Catamaran...But not a sail boat...

We will be in Aruba in 2 weeks and we are taking a sunset sail on Tues(May 17th) with Jethro on the Octopus.I believe it is 25 dollars a person and it is on a catamaran.I really wanted to go last year but was talked into an afternoon snorkle cruise on the MiDushi. The food was very good, snorkling was OK but they get a lot of people on the boat and it was far from romantic in my book.Big Papas trip report made me decide to trythe Octopus this year as he made it sound real nice(his trip report#2 or#3 under the renaissance).I have already emailed jethro and got a response from him-his email is jethrogesterkamp@setarnet and it sails on tues and thurs nites.

I did this sunset cruise too - I'm pretty sure it was a Catamaran. We had a great time!
