Default Surf Fishing

My husband and I would like to do some surf fishing while in Aruba and have read of others doing so. Where can we surf fish? Can we rent poles locally? Perhaps one of the Aruba locals can direct me. Thank you.

I haven't seen anyone surf fishing, but there are spots (bridge/banks) where you can fish with your own gear (no rentals available that I know of).

Debbie, my husband and I are avid fishermen in NJ and only keep what we plan to eat or share with family and friends. Of course, the same goes when we travel. On our honeymoon in Cabo San Lucas, I caught a 160 lb. striped marlin, which was tagged and released. Of course I'd never keep one of Aruba's beautiful tropical treasures.

I'm with Reelgal - I'm an avid fisherman and fanatically practice catch-and-release. I want to see/catch them again! The only time I'll keep fish is if it's on a charter, it's legal to keep, and it's delicious. You mahi listening out there?
