Default Tranquillo questions

Just a few questions regarding the Tranquillo 6 hour snorkle cruise. Do they have water & soft drinks for the kids? Can you bring snacks for any picky eaters? Do many people get drunk on board? Do many people get sea sick, or are the waters pretty calm? (wondering if we would need Dramamine). I know that we can't get to the drift snorkle spot on our own, but how about the Spanish Lagoon area where the boat anchors? Thanks, I really want to talk the family into doing this.

The Tranquillo is a smaller sail compared to the other tours..they only accomadate about 18 people..it think...

I don't see why you couldn't bring some sandwiches and snacks of your own in some kind of back-pack-cooler type thing....I know they have non-alcoholic drinks...as far as people getting drunk, I've never experienced a problem...

As far as dramamine???? I would go on the side of caution...bring it anyway...you may not need it but...

you can hang in the Spanish lagoon..The Tranquillo is a really nice experience

Unless the weather is really bad, I'd think Dramamine is unnecessary - with that said, why not err on the side of caution and take some. There's a non-drowsy formula available, so there's little reason not to. There are non-alcoholic drinks available, and they'll provide life vests if you/your kids are more comfortable using one when snorkeling. The area you'll be snorkeling is not accessible w/o a boat - the drift snorkel is very near where the boat anchors, it's just on the other side of the reef.

Do your best to convine them to take the trip, you'll all love it!

Pam -

I think your whole family will enjoy this. There were a couple of people with kids when I went last year. I can't see bringing your own food a problem - the crew is very laid back. There was water and soda available as well as some kind of rum drink and balashis.
The snorkeling area is great because you can stand up if you need a rest. The youngest child on our boat last year was around 10 and he was able to stand.

My husband gets seasick very easily and he wore the patch behind his ear (prescribed by a doctor) and had no problem. The water can be alittle choppy - I would bring the dramamine like everyone said.

I emailed by reservation to Anthony about one month ahead of time.

As Corrine said, a month or so is probably enough notice. With that said, if you know for sure the dates you'll be there and the date you want to sail with them, why wait? Reserve early in your trip, so you can go again if you like it (you will). Here is the address for Capt Anthony: sail.tranquilo@setarnet.aw

We'll be there in early Sept as well, just not sure yet if the first or second week. If the same week, we'll see you aboard!
