Smile Casual dinner

Hi, I'm headed to Aruba mid-August (15 days to go!). We usually have 1 or 2 laidback dinners, either ordering pizza or room service. Any recs for restaurants with casual food? I've read about Tomato Charlie's, is it just pizza? We've done Salt and Pepper and will probably go back there but I don't know of many other places.

Thanks!

Tomato Charlies also has a few pasta dishes and salads. When I was there I had the pasta, it was okay the sauce was a little bitter for my liking, my husband said the pizza was good. I have read that the salads are great, fresh etc. I have never been to the Paddock but Iguana Joes is always good for a casual meal, it is right across the street from the Paddock. Enjoy!

Have heard Smokey Joes is owned by the same people as Iguana Joes and that the food was good there. That is located in the highrise area if you are staying there. I enjoyed people watching at iguana joes and the fried bananas are really good and the key lime pie was wonderful as were the frozen drinks.

jb49,

Down infront of the Holiday in on Pelican Pier is a place
called the Pelican's Nest. We eat thier our first and last
nites. It is open air and very casual dining. I highly
recommend the grilled Mahi-Mahi $17.50 pp served
with white rice, veg, and dinner rolls. Make sure you
ask for the sweet-hot sauce. It is excellent mixed in with
the rice and on your fish. Make sure to get there before
6:45 pm so you can take excellent pics of the sunset.
We went to dinner there last week with a couple who
have been coming to the island for the last ten years.
They had never eaten there before, they were so impressed
that they were going to make it part of thier regular dining
schedule. My family enjoys eating at the Pelican's Nest, I
hope you find it to be one of your favs also.

later,
millertime

I second that!
The fried bananas are a must, but don't forget the margaritas
