Default king ribs

gotta say that whoever has been saying king ribs is great is underestimating the food. a gigantic YUM! we were too lazy to worry about eating out after the long day of flying. what a perfect first meal. murray had one of their burgers and his comment was this sure ain't mcdonalds. the burger filled him too much to eat his taters.

King ribs is located on the main drag heading in to town......once you pass Certified and Hong King .....and then the Liquor wholesale place...in the next group of shops is King Ribs. If you get to the Harley place, then you have gone too far! King Ribs doesn't look all that terrific but as Sherry says it is truly delicious. One rib dinner is enough for 2 people to enjoy, not to mention the meat that is stuck inbetween your teeth for later. Take out King Ribs and eat in your resort! The atmsophere of dining at King ribs is not all that wonderful.

Our Aruba trip this September will be on a shoestring as we have some major expenditures (college bills for kevin) So, we think that we'll alternate our 9 nights eating out and in. King Ribs is on our list as an "eat in" our unit at Lacabana. For probably $20 we'll have a nice dinner and plenty for leftovers for lunch the next day. (ps their corn on the cob is usually soggy)

Thanks andrea! My husband loves ribs and I love hamburgers. Take out is a great idea since the Hang Out at LaCabana wasn't so great this year. Next year, I too will be having college bills so I will keep this in mind!

We're right with you guys - my wife loves ribs, and I can eat burgers all day. We also plan to have some meals at home, so we'll add them to our 'in' list. Thanks all!

I thought they just had ribs? Sounds like they've expanded their menu a bit since becoming more popular. I'm not a ribs person (rather have chicken) but my husband is - so now we can go to this place in Sept. and we'll both be happy! Always wanted to try it for a cheap night "in" on our balcony for dinner.

Amy, King Ribs has ribs, burgers, chicken, fish, steak, etc., as well as combo plates.

However, if you like chicken, another option for "eating on the balcony" is to get one of the rotisserie chickens from Lings or Kong Hing. They're good and they're inexpensive, plus you can use the leftover for lunch. We pick up some potato salad and coleslaw to go with the chicken, and have a good "no mess, no fuss" dinner.

Wow - I didn't know King Ribs had all of those options! I like your other idea about picking up a rotisserie chicken at the store. It's just nice to stay "in" once in awhile and relax on the balcony (and not pay the double/triple prices that restaurants charge for a bottle of wine. )

Thanks, Carol! I can always count on you for the most up-to-date info and ideas!!

they have way more than just ribs including great chicken and beef ribs too which is rare. their website is under construction. www.kingribs.com and then it will have the complete menu. they are also going to bottle their yummy sauce.

Thanks for the link Sherry - and if you want a good bottle of sauce to bring home, grab some of Iguana Joe's medium-spicy sauce...TASTY!

Don't forget about the yummy hot sauce from MJ's. They sell it in the super markets there. Its great! (You can also get it at MJ's for double the price). This is the same sauce they marinate the onions in. Soon we will all be making our favorite aruba dishes at home!

Amy and Sherry, King ribs pork chops melt in your mouth and so does the chicken breast. They have a rib/chicken/pork chop combo w/the fixins for about $25. 2 chops, 2 breasts and 6 ribs. We take it to the balcony at the resort.

Hmmmm....the combo sounds perfect to split between my hubby and I for a nice dinner on the balcony with a bottle of wine. Can't wait to try this place now that I know they have more than just ribs!

Cool Re: king ribs

Definitely going to try this in February. Like Amy said.... it's a great meal to have on the balcony with a bottle of wine. Good to know there are beef ribs which is what my brother and I like.... not a lot of places have good beef. Thanks!!

king ribs moved to the road near the grocery stores. you will see wendy's on the corner, turn down that road and king ribs is on the right side. as of our visit in august, they were only open on weekends but doing a great business.

We enjoyed King Ribs a few times at the old location.
I like chicken, my wife likes ribs. There was enough for lunch the next day.
Cost was less than $25 FOR TWO.

Didn't get there this year, but know where they are.
Going towards town on the road behind Kong Hing and Certified food stores, you'll eventually come to a "roundabout". King Ribs is on the south-west quadrant of that traffic circle.

I have a T-shirt from when he just opened. He used to be outdoors in the early days. Food was always good and plentiful
