Question Which Party Bus?

Hello all! Celebrating the big 4-0 in October in Aruba and wanted to "experience" the party bus/bar hopping gig. We didn't get to do this on our first trip in '01. I didn't realize there were THREE bus tours that do this now!! Anyone have any preferences or warnings?? Thanks all!

I would say Kukuu Kunuku, I've been on it 3 times. I'm only aware of two party buses, the Banana Bus and Kukuu. What is the other one? I was there in Dec. and Feb. and heard nothing about a new bus.

Thanks for the suggestion! Yes, you're right. I thought I saw 3 different companies last time I checked. Is it safe to reserve online through the Kukuu, do you think? Looks like you're a regular! Do you stay at the Divi each time? We've only been once before, but wouldn't dare to try someplace else since the Divi was so perfect for us.

Dee - I have reserved the Kukuu bus online with no problem. We did this because we weren't flexible on the day we could go and didn't want to be shut out.

When are you going in October?

PS - DONT make plans for the next day!

Hi Corinne!
Yes, I've thought about which day would be best - and decided that I'd wait until mid-week for a number of reasons! We are there 10/22-10/29. My b-day is the 23rd. I'm concerned that I"ll be the "old gal" on the bus though!

Hi - I've never been but a timeshare member at my resort, Paradise Beach Villas took the bus tour you're taking and she was 75 years old. We saw her the next day and she said she had a blast, and had her arm in a sling due to being "very happy" that night. Way to go at 75! I think you'll have fun.

Dee - I am there Oct 22-29th also! Do we have a BB Party in the making? Amsterdam Manor on Monday afternoon? Maybe we'll get more people together by that time!

Don't be afraid of being the "old gal". One great thing about the bus is that there are people of ALL ages on it! By the end of the night, no one cares.

Are you planning a special evening for your birthday?

I would definately book it online to make sure you get on. We've stayed at the Divi many times (lost count-maybe 15?). We have also stayed at the Allegro, Phoenix, Playa Linda, Holiday Inn, and this year we are trying Casa Del Mar (for one week out of our four). I find time shares really boring at night, no action at all, and no one at the bars. The Divi is always hoping! While at Casa Del Mar we will spend a lot of time at the Divi I'm sure.

Hi Corrinne! Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you! BB Party? I'm all for it but my husband will think I'm crazy. I can hear him now......You're going to meet people you met ONLINE?!?!?! You have to understand, he's a prison guard and isn't very trusting of strangers!

We also have a teenager as I've read you do too! Ours is 15 (going on 25), just finishing up freshman year in h.s. That's a conversation ice-breaker right there!!

I have absolutely no idea where anything is on the island, other than the Divi/Tam, Alhambra's and downtown! So anywhere is fine, but we'll need directions!

The next 5 months can't go by quick enough!

Good to hear from you Dee! I know my husband feels the same way! By 5 months time on this BB, you will have many new friends and will learn so much more about Aruba! The Amsterdam Manor, where most of the BB parties are will be a short bus or car ride from you!

My daughter is graduating this year - Yea! I don't envy you 3 more years of HS. It goes by very quickly though!

We couldn't get reservations for kukuu kunuku tour, but we went on the extreme bus trip & were glad we did.We met up with kukuu at Carlos & Charlies. We thought they'ed stopped & made a pickup at a nursing home .People of all ages like to party & you'll find people older than you on the bus. I think all of them do a great job,but beware,it will be noisy & a lot of drinking on bus as well as at the bars.
We just bought 2 timeshares at Playa Linda (weeks 39 & 40).Since we're leaving for St. Maartens on Sunday for 2 weeks ,I'm hoping we can get away for one of the weeks. In the past we've stayed at PL,LaCabana,Marriot Surf Club & Casa Del Mar,& friends have stayed at Divi Village,& everyone had a great time at all of them.
Pick any bus & you'll have a great time. However,if you sign up ahead of time, you might miss out on going with some new friends you meet while there. Have a great time.

I had emailed the Kukoo Kunuku staff and they advised you can/should book 30 days in advance. They were very prompt in their reply and also said they would keep my email on file and shoot me a reminder - I thought that was very helpful. I doubt I will forget though
