Default Slots in Casinos

We are leaving next Saturday for a week for our third visit to Aruba. Have been to some of the Casinos. We always play the slots - from penny slots to dollar. Any casinos better than others? We are staying in the low-rise area but have a rental car so we can venture out. Not looking for the elusive mega-jackpot (although that would be nice) just trying to keep even for the week.

Got back about 7 weeks ago.

I was at the Marriott, Seaport, Allegro, Holiday Inn, La Cabana and Alhambra Casino's. Don't even bother going to La Cabana (horrible place). Most of the other's I played awhile even though I left $$ there.

The most winner's I saw where at Alhambra's. That's the only place I hear the bells ringing. I liked the Marriott as (I think) it is the nicest casino (they enlarged it from last year). Plus they have a really nice band.

Counting the days.

On our first visit we went to every Casino...Alhambra seemed to have the most winners. I won twice at the Alhambra so I can say my luck was better there. I agree with Liz from NJ, in regards to La Cabana. My Husband plays craps, so we had to collect a chip from every casino! So I had fun in the process as I to wanted to see which one seemed to have the most winners. Good Luck and have a great time. We will also be going for our third time and leave Thursday for two weeks.

I've had a lot of luck at the Palm Beach casinos. The Raddison,Allegro,Hyatt,HolidayInn,& Marriot. The Alhambra is the best of the others. The Alhambra has a coupon book that is worthwhile.Didn't have much luck at La Cabana or the two in town.Good luck & have fun.

I tried all the casino's this year and the Alahambra was my winner, and It's only a short walk back to my room from there...I mostly landed on the nickel machines towards the front one machine I would play every time and always won 45.00 (last machine by the ladies room against the wall) Triple and sevens...EVERY TIME....then I would take that 45 and play another machine..the last night I was there I played a nickel machine for 4 hours and walked away with $200 I had no luck at any other casino..even on the penny machines!!!! Good luck and have a great trip

We're also big fans of the Alhambra casino. We won three straight nights at roullette, and I even managed to win some at blackjack (something I normally can't accomplish in Aruba despite my success everywhere else )

My wife and I just returned from two weeks in Aruba. We played video poker every night at either the Marriott or the Radisson. If you join their slot clubs you can earn comps. The Marriott has both cash back and food comps and we earned both. At the Radisson, we earned food comps so I am not sure if they have cash back or not. The video poker machines at both resorts are decent, similar or better to what we find in Atlantic City. The Radisson also has a nice poker room.

Wow, I'm really impressed! I lost $40 in about 4 minutes of playing roulette. Needless to say, it was back to shopping for me.

Roulette is such a game of pure luck, I usually don't play it. I normally stick to blackjack, a game that involves more skill and therefore provides better odds. Loren and I went to the casino together, so I wanted to try something we could both play. Roulette turned out to be our game - the first night we won over $100! I was pretty impressed with their dealerless BJ table - a big plasma screen with video of a dealer looking around the table as bets are placed and cards are played. I didn't play at it, so not sure what the diff is between it and a regular table...

Kevin, where is the Alhambra casino? I'd like to see this dealerless BJ table. Last year, at he Marriott they had installed a device on a couple of tables that would scan the chips and be able to determine what your bet was. Supposed to help prevent cheating, help the dealer get the payouts right and automate the comp points. Wonder if this is the next step of that unit. Sounds like they could deal more hands/hr with this setup.

Goin down 7/30 I'll have to check if they have installed this at the Marriott.

Alhambra is right next to Costa Linda and Bucuti resorts. The dealerless table was right next to the roulette table we sat at each night, and I was mesmerized by the screen (and the technology). The 'dealer' knows when you've placed your bet, and then looks at the next position at the table and waits for that person. I'm still not sure why people would play there instead of with a live dealer, I guess it's sort of like playing video bj...

Cool Re: Slots in Casinos

To make it a little easier, Chip, it's across from ABC and Casa Del Mar right behind Subway!
