I am coming to Aruba Nov 10-14 with my best friend/sister in law. This is my second trip (first was my honeymoon), and her first trip. We are leaving the husbands at home, since they are out in California this week, golfing. (they are brothers) So, what do you suggest for us to do at night?

We want tons of fun! Maybe some dancing, and good drinks! It is a girls vacation, and we plan on just enjoying ourselves! We could hang out drinking beer, and listening to bar songs...

1. Go to Sopranos and have a wonderful time with great company and the coldest Heinekens on the island.
2. Go to Carlos & Charlies if you are brave and miss your childhood
3. Go to "Choose a Name" if you are looking to become insane. Loud and very packed.
4. Go to Garufas on Friday or Saturday evening for a great time. the real fun starts at about 11 PM. and continues to about 2AM. Nice environment and nice folks.
5. Karma is one of those nightclubs that has a constant beat. They play thump - thump music endlessly. First time I went, I hated it. Now I go there every once in a while and its' not so bad at all.

My favorites? Sopranos at night and Moomba beach in the day time.

Downtown - Aventura Mall. Last time I was there they had a Chivas Regal and Martini Bar. Very nice!

Karma is located directly over BENNETON. It is a second floor place with wrap around balcony overseeing the streets. Like I said, thimp thump music but kind of nice.

Do the Kukkoo Kunuku Party Bus, it is a blast, tip: if you are staying in the low rise hotels, you are usually picked up first, so bring some beer for the ride to the lighthouse.

The KUKUKUNUKU bus suggestion is fabulous. Being local you don't do it that often but it is a blast!

We like to go to Carlos & Charlies early around 5-6 pm and sit back away from the main floor and watch the show as people come in for the evening, it's a great time!!!

If you go at night Carlos & Charlies is a much younger crowd, however it is usually a nice mix of locals and tourists. Be aware of your surroundings though, dealers sell drugs near and around Carlos & Charlies and even inside at the back of the club. Don't mean to scare anyone off, just need to be careful, have fun but be careful and aware of whats going on.

I also liked Mambo Jambo, that is still there right? Last time I was there was in Dec. 2003. Nice atmosphere there.

I read on another BB that Karma is "primarily gay". Is this so? Can anyone recommend any clubs that are either gay or frequented by gays?

While not gay, I do understand that "Jimmy's Place" is frequented by gays. Try your luck there

philly, every store you want is in town. there is a large shopping district. if you love to shop you will love the shops. start at one end and wend your way thru to the other end.
