We are leaving for Aruba in 2 weeks. We like the slots and really enjoy the ones with all the bells and whistles, ie. bonuses. We are just old grandparents and like the nickel, quarter and fifty cent slots. So are there Cansinos geered for us or are they all pretty high stakes? Are there any that let you win a little? I hear that the Casinos are pretty tight and winning does not happen?

Most of the casinos could be called 'friendly', but I wouldn't say any of them are 'generous'
You'll find plenty of cheaper (but just as noisy) slots, we like the Alhambra casino and the Waterfront casino. Have fun, and good luck.

Kevin, you called that one right. Also if you in the High Rise
area the Casino at the Raddisson is very nice. I even won a little there to keep my interest. The even hand out bingo cards for free for special prizes. The hotel casino at the Wyndham is ok, but it seems alittle small when it's crowded. |

Interesting, I haven't had or seen any problems that you had
spoken of. Of course, I'm a guppy when it comes to gambling. I stay away from the high stakes out of country just for that reason. When I'm there later this year I'll keep my guard up. |

what is the typical attire for the casinos in the Aruba? I personally enjoy blackjack while my girl is a slot fanatic... a semi casual upscale type environment would be ideal, any suggestions anyone?

i have seen all manner of dress from shorts for some americans to semi formal for south americans. comfort is key without being sloppy. you will find that these are not anything like the casinos of the usa. they are laid back. no fast blackjack games with speed dealing, lol. also, one quick warning. there are many visitors that haven't a clue how to play the game. more of them on island where cruise ships come in than in the casinos you are used to. if you get frustrated with the moron who hits on 16 just be prepared. murder is illegal in aruba too even if it is a mercy killing of the casino brain dead.

Thanks for the input sherry, I just wanted to know what was acceptable as I don't want to offend the local customs... nor do I want to be dressed up to the point where I stick out like a sore thumb lol...
I would appreciate the laid back atmosphere, I am not a big fan of the high speed blitzkrieg action myself.... when I visited puerto rico thats what it was all about, almost like an attempt to keep the game in such a flurry you have no time to make good decisions
