even though the consumer only gets charged 3% at point of sale, according to the article it is 3% on each succesive change from wholesaler to consumer which realy becomes about 10% to the consumer because the wholesaler and retaler will pass their cost on to the consumer.
it was an old article, could have been from january. |

---- Its on most things that are sold. Some places like restaurants add the 3% tax right on your bill. Most shops downtown post signs saying tax is included in their prices. So think it is on all sales even though you might not see it on what you may buy. The shop, company, restaurant, ...... can collect the tax or pay the tax themselves. >>> "wholesalers have to pay 3% tax on anything they import from the U S." ---- My understanding is that they only pay it when they sell it.
