We are thinking of trying the C.L. this yr. since the Aruba Grand will be closed. What would be the best room location to have the shortest walk to the beach?
Thanks for your help.

because of the layout of cl there are no long walks to the beach. if you go to their website you will see that any room is easy. remember, that the elevators are toward the back of the timeshare so i would suppose if you hate walkiing you want to be closest to the elevators. even then, no matter where you are located, it is only a short 2 minute walk at a casual pace to get to the sand. remember, cl is beachfront.

I agree with Bob, I love the view that comes with an upper floor. 1st or 5th floor, you're never far from the best beach in Aruba when you're staying at Costa Linda, so no worries!
Here's a link to their website: http://www.costalinda-aruba.com/

Yea I agree with everyone else here, I have stayed on many of the floors and locations within the Costa Linda there and no matter where you are it is always a quick and short walk down to the beach.

Thanks for the information. It isn't that I don't like to walk but that my knees are bad and have trouble walking. I will look at the CL site, thanks for the help.

Lynn, if it's any help, my father has arthritis and generally uses a cane to walk. He never uses his cane to walk from the room to the beach at Costa Linda, but he always uses it when we go somewhere off property (shopping, out to dinner, etc.).
I own a room on the fifth floor in November, and the third floor in May. We're not that close to the elevator, but he has no problems getting from the room to the elevator, or from the elevator to the beach. The only thing I'll caution you on is that the tile walkways between the rooms and around the stores get very slippery when it's wet. So if it rains, be sure to have on flip flops or shoes - don't try to walk barefoot - and take it slow. The only people I know that have fallen are barefoot people, or people moving too quickly (i.e. running back to the room). One of my good friends has MS, and she bought at Costa Linda as it's so easy for her to get around. She tires easily, and has no problem getting between her room and the beach (she owns on the second floor). You can find the resort layout at: http://www.costalinda-aruba.com/resort/rslayout.shtml |
