I Love Aruba Detailed Aruba road map

My family is visiting Aruba in mid Feb for ~10 days, and we'd like to explore the island a little more this time around. I've yet to find a good, detailed road map of the island that I could study before we head down. I recall the roads on the north side of the island are not well marked so I'd like to study a map before we arrive to make the best use of our time when we arrive. Does anybody have any suggestions, or does somebody have a good map they'd be willing to scan/copy & share.

We bought the laminated map of Aruba by Borch - to me it is one of the best. You can buy it on Amazon and other online stores, but it also can be purchased on the island. Because it is laminated, it holds up well and we use it frequently during our stay.

We also have the Borch map. It was expecially handy when the rain was heavy & the roads flooded.............

I believe that Borch makes a nice one that can be ordered on-line.

If I may suggest something:

Get any map of Aruba (the simpler the better) and grab a pen. Divide the island into two or three segments. Use a main road to enter one of the segments and then start looking at points that interest you and note them down. Take pics and make plenty of notes and also write questions.

From this, start researching what you saw and look for the answers to your questions. It will give you a much more intimate look at the island and really allow you to explore in a way that is driven by your interests and not by what is written by someone else.

I made this suggestion to someone last year and they are still researching the first segment they explored. The photos are interesting and include family and the booklet they are making is really in depth aside from being meaningful to them.

That is my suggestion

be well
charles

We use that map when we are there. Just realize that because the street has a name on the map,it doesn't mean they took time to put up a sign to mark it. Arriving Mar.8 for another month of exploring ourselves.

Street names, house numbers and directions of the streets and how you are able to access them are in constant flux down here.

One of the major reasons that when you ask where a place is, you hardly ever have some say it is on XYZ street It is usually

"Go down that way - turn south and drive till you see the (whatever) then slow down and look etc etc etc.

Hey, it works

be weell
