Re: Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort "The Links"
We stayed there 09/16-19. I have a trip report up called the good, the bad and the scary. There is some info there on the new condos. They are very nice but you can hear your neighbors put ice in a glass, so expect a little noise from your neighbors. We were in unit 2208. There are 3 floors and no elevator.(wife has bad knees) The pool is exceptional. We were on the second floor with a view straight down the pool.
The beach is very nice now (they lost it 3 or 4 years ago but it is back like new)but across the street and quite a way from the new condos. There is a shuttle stop right in front of the units and runs very often. It will take you to the beach and the casino. I dont know the scheduke because we rent a car while we are there.
The closest grocery stores are Lings, and Kong Hing. They are about 5-6 blocks away. Since you are only going to be there for 5 days, I would suggest you do a 3 day car rental on the day you arrive so you dont waste a lot of time on taxis and walking to the store.
There are a couple of restaurants at Divi Village and Divi Beach resort and the Tamarijn. We did not eat at any of them so cant comment. We ate breakfast at Casa Del Mars Calypso 2 mornings. It is a buffet for $8 and has an omelet station(eggs any way you want them) and a great view of the beach and ocean. We eat there at least once every year. There are restaurants at Aruba beach club, Manchebo beach resort, Bucuti beach resort and Costa Linda, all of which are only 4 or 5 blocks away. They are behind the Alhambra casino. For some of the better restauraunts(my opinion) you will need a car or taxi. I suggest Madame Janettes, El Gaucho and Chalet Suisse. Downtown for lunch try The paddock(also good for dinner) and Iguana Joes.
