Chip, the webcam is at the Bucuti. Look for the Pirate Ship.. the side of the ship closest to the Bucuti is where the camera sits. Three pictures are taken between 9 and 9:15 every morning. Just look for the congregation of people. It's pretty weird 'cause you think you see the cam moving each time, but some people actually "pose" for 15 minutes. I was hysterical when I was there... it's pretty funny!

Thanks Elaine, now for the question I should have asked, where is the Bucuti? This is only my second trip, last year, we did get around some, but spent most of our time at the pool and beach enjoying being by ourselves. This year we plan to do more exploring.

Chip - I should have asked where you're staying. The Bucuti is in the low rise area on Eagle Beach. It's between Costa Linda and Casa Del Mar.(giving you two large timeshares for reference point)

Chip you can park in the Manchebo parking lot. There is a walkway between the Manchebo and the Buccutti as your walking toward the Buccutti pool and pirate ship. As your walking you will see some palapas to your left, there will also be a sign standing by itself in the middle of the sand. That sign will tell you that the "cam zooms in here". Check out the archived Buccutti pictures for a better Idea of what to look for. Have a wonderful and safe trip and make sure you let us know when you will be on!

I'm staying at Marriott surf club, I'll try to get down there, with Diane, one of the mornings and use a cafe terminal to let you know.

You can go right to Manchebo or ABC's Tortugo Restaurant for breakfast... Manchebo is next to Bucuti and ABC is next to Manchebo.... Easy enough!!
And.... there's a Dunkin' Doughnut right by the Alhambra... Lots of places to rest after smiling for 15 minutes.... lol

I found out yesterday that my son that's in the Army Reserves is going to be able to join us in Aruba for 7 of the 12 days that we are their. Georgene and I are very excited about that - but my youngest says - " Oh -this is going to suck " Ha

Big Papa, that is great...our son was able to join us for his two week leave (Air Force). He was able to get his divers certification done while in Aruba. What a great time you will have! Enjoy your vacation and your son!

1 more - We leave this afternoon to go to Chi-town to spend the night - and then be at the airport by 6am.

When my 21 year old comes home on the 26th. he is bringing a case of Polar and when we come home on the 28th. I am bringing a case of Balashi.

Kevin - Don't tell Loren, but 1 of those 6pks of Balashi's is Hers.

All this excitment has made sleeping kinda hard. George is bringing some Duct Tape, because when I get on that plane, I am going to " Snore Like A Freight Train " Ha - It is either the Tape or I have to buy 150 ear plugs.

Papa, dress for warm weather here. Today 90 and the humidity the same tonight into the 70's. I'll be at O'hare tomorrow morning too. Taking a weekend trip to Vegas, leave at 9:14 back Monday afternoon, then Aruba on the 30th. Have a great time and leave a few Balashi's for me to enjoy.

Elaine - yes, wintertime would be the ideal time to go to Aruba and get away from these lousy PA winters, but it just doesn't work for us with 1 child in high school, one that just graduated high school and starting Penn State in the fall, school sports, etc. Maybe when the kids are off on their own - will that day ever get here?

i read that dad, lol... funny, sometimes i really feel like the mean nasty evil dictator (better known as a parent). it is a difficult balancing act. this is my bb too since i am a member so i have to follow all of my rules too. it's hard to know if i am making a mistake with something i do until i do it and see the repercussions. there's been more than one time that i had to apologize for something.

And, yes I undersatnd the challenges of being a parent. I try to be tough, strict, nosy, and keep them out of trouble. My wife wants to be their best friend, give them the moon, and never say no. Again, very challenging.

funny thing about the rookies...they are doing well training themselves. i am sure they will need it too when murray and i run off to aruba for 2 weeks in august. you have never been here for 'story time'. it can become a bit risque. but it's fun. the regulars will really give you an explanation as the time nears to start the story and you really don't need to be the best writer to join in. creative b.s. is much more important than creative writing.

Oh noooooooooo................... No foul moods Dad! I will try not to rub in that I will be leaving in 2 months from then.

This past senior year in HS, Jamie has changed wanting to major in Marketing, Education (and applied to colleges good for this) and now Accounting! Thank god, she got into a school excellent for this major. At the parent workshop 2 weeks ago, they told us - let your child change majors as often as they want in the beginning- this is normal and they encourage it. Gee thanks.

As to a major, you don't pick one until at least your second year anyway which I think is a good thing. When I started college, I wasn't sure where I wanted to go with my education and almost changed a couple of times..
