Sorry, I had to do an overnite trip to Baltimore for work, and just got back today- so I am catching up on the posts.

Elisabeth - we arrive the 24th (only 10, count 'em 10 more days!!) and are staying at the Marriott Surf Club until the 31st. We have another couple coming in Saturday morning to join us in paradise. It is wild to think that I will get to meet some of the people I have been chatting with here! But this is the best thing about this board - the friends that you make (along with sharing thoughts and memories about Aruba). Even though this is our first trip - I already know that I will just love it there!!

I am so happy about your husband's second interview. If they called back that quick, they are definitely interested! Will keep sending those positive thoughts your way!!

How Sweet Laura, thanks!!! Will you be going to the BB Party at the Amsterdam Manor Monday Night? If I know a few people are going I will make an effort...Heck I'm right next door at LaCabana...In November we bring our kids so I didn't attempt to go but last May my husband and I went and no one was there...so we jumped on the bus to town (bus stop is right in front of the beach bar for those of you who have to take the bus to the party).

About the interview...I feel the same way, first the guy said he'll be interviewing for the next couple of weeks and will get back to him then, then at 4:00 that same afternoon he got a call about the 2nd interview for Monday. That to me is a very good sign....He said it went well...and I don't want to be pesimistic but don't want to zinx it either!

Keep those fingers crossed...and thanks! Before you know it i'll be making my November reservations and plans.

Elisabeth - I would like to try to make it Monday the 27th to the bb party at the Amsterdam Manor - what time is it? We would probably just catch the bus down from the Surf club so no worries about drinkin' and drivin'.

Elaine - thanks for the "Woohoo"!!! I am really excited. Mentally, I am already there. Last weekend, with the 74 degree in PA on Saturday I sat out on our deck with a cold beer and thought about the fact that in 2 weeks I would be doing this on a beach. And, it would be warmer than this! Aaahh....

We'll be there on the 27th too - although I don't think we'll be able to make the BB party as our flight gets in too late. Oh yeah - another reason we'll be unable to make the BB party - it will also be the first night of our honeymoon!

Let's see, we are also doing the BBQ bash at the Black Hog Saloon on Tuesday nite - sounded like fun, so we all said, "why not?". With our friend "Fun Bobby" and his girlfriend joining us, it is always sure to be a blast!

I was reading the Aruba Today newspaper and they have a new Mexican night at the Laguana Rest. at the Radisson. Sounds pretty good. They have all the usuals, Quesidillas, soft and hard tacos, Frajitias, Corn Bread, etc. with my fav. Sangria (white or red), or Corona or Margarittas.... Anyone wanna try this? Its every Wed. night. from 6 - 10. I think we are going to go on Mar. 29. (that's the only wed. we will be there).
I'm usually not big on Theme nights...but I know I like the food there and we both love Mexican food!

Laura...heard there is more fun at Black Hog BBQ than good food. So be prepared. I actually was there during their BBQ Bash one time but we were eating at Alfredo's and took the kids to play miniture golf afterwards...so I just witnessed the shananagans(sp) going on. IT IS LOUD!!! They do muscial chairs, drinking contests, harley rides, etc.

Not sure if you read my Trip Report, but in it I stated that we went to the Radisson twice in Dec. for their Tuesday Night Italian Buffet. It is $20.00 and the food is fantastic and there is soooo much to pick from, and the dessert bar is spectacular. On my Feb. trip we went to the "new" Saturday night "Prime Rib Buffet", also only $20.00 and the prime rib was done perfectly and was so tender you did not need a steak knife to cut it, and all the choices to go with the meal were again, spectacular. And again, the dessert bar, "to die for". Keep in mind that both of these nights, as I am sure with the new Wed. Mexican Night, you get to eat all you want for your $20.00. We "highly" recommend these buffets.

We are always up for any adventure, so noise at BBQ bash is not a problem. My hubby and our friend love Harleys, so this is why we are going. It will certainly be something to talk about!!

As to Wednesday at the Radisson, I will have to check with the other couple going with us - it sounds good, and certainly affordable! Will get back to you on that as soon as I talk to them.

I know you are both thrilled at the thoughts of getting married and a honeymoon in Aruba too!!!! How exciting!!!!!

My only concerns are making sure everything comes together by Saturday afternoon. We have a lot of things to attend to before then, but have most things undercontrol. We want to have a great party for ourselves and all our guests - I think we will!

As for the actual marriage - I consider myself one lucky guy - my fiance is just wonderful!

I know how you feel!! I am trying (not very hard) to wrap up my work. I can't stand how this is dragging out - we are just under 24 hours till take off! I just printed my boarding passes, and I need to finish up my packing.

I do that Wahoo Dance at my computer every day when I look at the ArubaWebCam. Looking at that photo gives me my "Aruba Fix" for the day, it is not a pill but it is my addiction!!!!!

Laura S, just curious, how can you print a Boarding Pass for an International Flight? I have tried it every trip to Aruba and, at least on Delta, I got a message saying, "This is an International Flight, cannot process your request"
