Just looked at your pics of the left coast. Looks like you had a great trip. Does not look like you had a lot of use for a convertable though.
We visited my wifes uncle in San Francisco a few years ago. He told us the best weather was in late september and early october. We went the last week of sept and it was beautiful every day for a week. We drove down the coast from SF to San Luis Obispo(sp). That was lovely. Went thru Pebble Beach too.

I started with 360....now I am down to 42...

Needless to say I am getting very excited and can hardly wait to get on that plane!

We only had rain the first couple of days in San Fran/Napa area, the rest of the trip (incl the rain forest in WA) was sunny. But it was cooler than we expected, so the top only came down a couple times.

Less than 4 months now!!

sorry k, i just saw this. was away babysitting for a tonsil removed grand child and only got to glance at the board until today.

you couldn't have picked better than hans. we have rented from him for several years now. he is a true gentleman on top of being totally punctual and honest. his rates are reasonable, his cars are in good shape, and we trust him completely. wow, i should get paid for that nice a testimonial.

- Paul and I held the "What to do our December Vacation Discussion", early. We had planned to have this discussion while at Panama City Beach, Fl. next week, but we held the meeting early and guess where we will be going again December 3-17? For those of you on this board that read my "rants and raves" about Aruba, you win!!!!! Aruba it is. LaCabana here we come again!!! I think at a quick countdown that is approx. 199 days. It was either a 10-12 day cruise or Aruba. We talked ourselves out of a cruise and needless to say, I am VERY excited. Oh boy, now I get the task of airline ticket searching.

I leave in 9 days!!! Im ready, just talked to my niece Kimberly last night and both she and her girlfriend have to work up until the last minute.

Kimberly is driving north from South Carolina to Radford, VA staying overnight and Maria has to work until noon on Friday next, then they can drive up and be ready to go for Saturday am!!

I am thinking so long as its not raining, I will take them to the airport to be there by 4:30, drop them at American, go park the truck, take the shuttle back, check in at United and then go over to their gate and see them off, then walk back to the adjoining terminal (all are mid field) and wait for my flight.

This is not really a countdown week for me....but I feel the countdown has officially started.....bought our tickets today.....USAir for $571 out of Pittsburgh. Yahoo....these same flights were over $650 and above last week. Now the planning can begin.

This is true, Joe. I love summertime here in the northeast, and hate wintertime when at least I get to hop on a plane, and leave the cold and snow for a while. You're right, it'll be here before we know it!!

Since we never get there before 7 or 8 at night, its find somplace to eat after check in.
Next morning after breakfast these old farts go to the grocery store. Then its beach time.

Does December 3rd sound like a long way off to anyone besides me????? And we just returned from a week at PCB, Fl. it just is NOT the same. We didn't have one meal that compared to any Aruba restaurants, the waiters and waitresses were not nearly as friendly as those in Aruba, the prices were ALL higher than in Aruba, we did however enjoy the Gulf waters warm temperature and the pools even though there was not a breeze the entire week we were there and not a drop of rain. Come on December!!!!!!

December does sound like a long ways off But it will go fast and you have something to look forward to.

Elaine....September is looking a whole lot better every day! Just don't want to fall into the trap of wishing our summer away! I have a grand baby to have first!!!
Shopping in Aruba should be extra fun this year for a new little girl. Once the shower is over in 10 days...then I can concentrate on vacation.
