Thanks, Divi. I'm staying one week (the 15th to the 22nd) at the Renaissance Marina. And yes, this will be my first time back since 1972. I'm trying to contain myself but friends and co-workers are already sick of me!

That's too bad, we're only staying for a week and will miss you by 4 days. Oh yes, 1972, that was the first time I travelled....to DisneyWorld. I was in 4th grade. Went back there in Aug, for my 4th time. I actually can count how many times I have been there. Lost count of how many time in Aruba. Can you guess which place I like better? You will have such a good time, but it has changed! Even since I have been (1993) going it has changed.

Right now, the fact that two weeks from right now, I will be back on Aruba is about all I can think of. But, let's give this a shot.

1). You want an honest answer, there's a lot more than just one thing I've missed but I probably miss the island's culture the most.
2). I have sort of an informal list. I haven't gotten it to the point where I can say, "On Saturday morning, I will...[whatever]" (and I'm not going to ever get to that point anyway) but I know that I'm meeting up with Elisa for happy hour on the 16th and I intend to spend a lot of time on the eastern end of the island. Other than that, I figure a day will be spent at the Renaissancecisland and another day will be spent bumming around Oranjestad. And I certainly plan to tour the cunucu while I'm there. But I'm not the type to set firm schedules on anything.
3). I plan to rent a car for a couple of days - not for the entire stay but, when I go into San Nicolas and Seroe Colorado, I want to be in my own wheels.
4). If Leo Dorkas or any of the van de Ven brothers are still on the island, I would love to see him again but, no, after 34 years I really haven't been able to stay in touch with any childhood friends.
5). Be watching the Bucuti cam. Turnabout is fair play.
6). Now, Dan. You know no one ever plans those types of things.

In exactly 1 week from today my plane w/b landing! Just came back from the tanning salon and my skin is tingling...better now than while there!!!

we still have room Kevin!!! My friend whose renting out one of my units had a friend bail on her...so she's in it alone!!! We have a total of 5 units for 12 people.
