Yes Sherry it is ..it is flight 1013 on AA out of Logan in Boston on Thursday..they have just changed the forcast again..this morning they were down playing it now they are saying 8 to 14 inches wednesday into early morning hours thursday

From 3/14 to 3/21 we will be at MVC Eagle Beach. I know, I know, but it is very inexpensive. We couldn't get a timeshare trade. The next week we will be at Marriott Ocean Club. It would be nice if we could get together for some drinks and/or dinner. How 'bout it?

Bobbie, I, for one, love MVC Eagle Beach. I've stayed there a couple of times for one or two nights. Loved the proximity to the beach, etc. Yes, it's small, but how much time doesw one spend in one's room. Staff -- accommodating, breakfast was fine, and the use of the computer was helpful. Cross the small street and right on the sand. I recommend it often.

Mary ~ The forcast keeps flip floping back and forth..it looks like we are getting somewhere between 6 to 10 inches or maybe even a foot or so, it is supposed to be over by 1 or 2am thursday..soooo I hope that gives them time to clean out the airport..you know how Logan is

Thank you, Mary. I feel alot better. I am very happy to be staying on Eagle Beach. The sand is so soft! I hope you and Elaine are having a wonderful time. Did your grandchildren arrive yet?

Ya know Tico----you and I have gone back and forth about the late departure from Logan, but in your case I believe it is a good thing. The snow (which at last check) is for 4-6 inches, and they will have plenty of time to clear the runways by the time you are scheduled for departure. I will be checking via computer to make sure you and Judy are on your way to a much-deserved vacation.

Sounds great. And I really don't know anything about MVC Eagle Beach. I only know low-rise or high rise LOL, and as long as it's on the island of Aruba, it's all good as far as I'm concerned!

Maybe I could pm you with specifics like Room #'s etc.?

As I have previously stated---I have run the gamut of extra nights here and there---going way back to staying at the Victoria and Trocadero downtown (hey, they may not exist today). I've stayed at Quality, Sasaki and MVC. MVC may be smaller, but when one considers that you don't need a car to get to and from the beach---it's a no-brainer. I would return there in a heartbeat.
My daughter and grandchildren are scheduled to arrive in Aruba Saturday (from Boston). I will breathe a sigh of relief when they get here.

What a heartfelt post, Nancy! I've always felt like we're family on this board whether we've met in person or heart to heart. To me, the written word says a lot about a person.

I, too, cherish the happy moments I've had meeting those I've had the pleasure of meeting.

Now I look forward to seeing Dan, George, Tico, Judy and Gina. It's always exciting waiting for everyone's arrival and hugs!!

totally agree gina. the few i have been lucky enough to meet feel like family even before i got to see them in person. i feel fortunate to be part of this forum and to have found so many good people. ironically, aruba starts the friendships but so much more about the people here is wonderful and warm that if we met and didn't have aruba in common we would still become friends.
