Photos of Eagle Beach and the hotels along there would be appreciated. As well as photos/reports of the some of the other beaches such as Malmok, Baby, Mangel Halta.

1) I meant pictures of the entrances and signage, not the inside, but...
2) Some casinos now let you take pictures. Some don't. I have asked after seeing some people take pictures and many in Las Vegas will now let you take pictures. In Aruba? I have no idea. If you could get pictures of the inside of any casino, that would be particularly appreciated, but don't bother if it makes you uncomfortable. 3) Anything you can get would be great.

On the island now. On my blog, you'll find a video of the flight approaching the island. Working on learning the video software to improve quality. Will be out and about the next couple of days. Stay tuned.

Hi Daniel,
Just picked up my copy of "An Island Away". I ordered in-store at a Barnes&Noble in Walpole, MA and had it a few days later. Thanks for offering to post pics/reports on your website. Like many others, I'm interested in how quickly the beaches recover from Omar...especially the manchebo/druiff point. That's my favorite spot to watch the sunset while I wade in chest deep water up and down the coast....the best. Thanks for the approach video, it made me smile and look (even more) forward to my next visit in January. ![]() Enjoy your stay and good luck with the book signings! Jim from Medfield |

Jim,
Thanks for checking out the book. I'll be stopping at some beaches over the weekend and grabbing some photos and video which should be up early next week. Maybe see you here in January. Bon dia! 44 |

Shot a short video of the drive to Baby Beach, from the Anchor past San Nicolaas, down to the beach itself. Still working on my video skills but you can see the beach and all. It is located on my blog that is part of my signature.
Enjoy! 44 |

I would say post some videos about "less than traveled"/"less visited" places, but if posted, they will increase in popularity and number of visits.
I think I have posted (on one of the other popular websites) that I enjoyed your book...and look forward to your next book. Don't want to be repetitive, but we have been going to Aruba every year since 1988. We like going to different places and we still find a few. For restaurants, it might not please the gourmet, but we did like "Pam Pam"...this year in early October. Good quality for good value! Keep us posted about your latest adventures! |

John,
Great idea that my wife and I have been following as well. For example, tonight we ate supper at The Sultan (again). This is an Arab food place I reviewed over the summer. Definitely local, definitely off the beaten path, very few regular tourists. But there are some adventuresome souls out there. I didn't take video because, well, it seemed like that wouldn't go over very well amongst the owner and patrons. But I think I can get some footage at some other local places like Casa Vieja, Pueblito Paisa, and so on. Still need to work on the quality of the video. The picture is excellent on the camera and my computer when I put the video together. But something is lost going to YouTube. I have read the manual, etc. Just need to keep tweaking. Okay for now. Hot and less wind on the island today. 44 |

Bon dia, Elaine!
Baby beach is up and now the interior of Charlie's Bar. Please disregard the shameless promotion of An Island Away. Hoping to get more footage of Paseo Herencia today and some restaurants. People are not liking the video camera in the restaurants, so I'm going to tape early when people aren't around. Anyway 44 |
