El Gaucho is all on one flooor. However, they do have rooms that you need to "step up" to get to , but they do also have rooms that are on the same floor. Hope this helps.

Hi Karen,
El Gaucho is on the first floor. I don't know about Madame J's. Planning to go there in a couple weeks for the first time.

I just read that there was an elevator, there are tables on the second floor as well. I would email El Gaucho to confirm this, they have been very responsive to my emails, this is their address

Not including sidewalks, there are one or two small steps to get into El Gauchos. From there, the main dining areas are all on the same floor. There is a small dining area on the second floor that is accesible via an elevator.

MJs is definitely on the first floor. Give a call first and ask about wheelchair access.

>>> "there are tables on the second floor as well"
---- Don't recommend the 2nd Floor. Make reservations for before 7 pm and request area with easy access. Any later than 7pm the place can get real busy and may have to wait for your table. Call a few days ahead to reserve your table for a good location and time.

There is definately an elevator at ElGaucho. We ate upstairs our very first time there. Its located right in the bar area next to the hall where the bathrooms are. I need to warn you though...very tiny. The wheelchair person plus one will only fit! Make sure you tell them and they will seat you on the first floor (which has so much more ambiance anyway). Go early as Corrine said. We always go around 6:30 and never have waited for our reservations (yes, even if you have reservations, there is usually a wait)!

Yes to the elevator, Kinda small though. The 2nd floor is for smokers primarily. And yes, it is tiny but always gooood!

Karen - the three last posts are correct. There is a second floor with tiny elevator so when you make reservations, request wheelchair access. By the way, they have bought the building next door (also two story) and are doubling their size. This is going to be one big resturant.
