Now realize I've only been to Aruba once thus far, we leave in a couple days for trip #2. I like going when it's cold here but not too far away from warmer weather. That way, I get out of the snow and cold and don't have to endure it for months after getting back.

any time is a good time to go to aruba. whenever you get the urge for soft sand, warm water, friendly people and all the rest of the island experience you need to get there as soon as possible. for us though it is august for the same reason as kevin does september. quiet, peaceful, empty and relaxing.

We've been to Aruba in April, May, Sept., Oct., and Nov.
Our favorite month is Sept. because it's one of the quietest months on the island (less people, no need to make alot of restaurant reservations), hotel prices are cheaper (which means we have more money available for other trips throughout the year), and the water is warmer than when we've been there in April and May. So, for my husband and I....we now go every year in Sept. (plus we celebrate our anniversary and my birthday in Sept.)

Think anytime is a good time and everyone likes when they go.
We like last week of May towards end of June. Reasons: 1. Its the slow season. 2. Never have too worry about not getting a front row beach hut even as late as 9am. 3. Most of the cruise ships stop calling and head north for the summer. 4. The summer children rush have not hit Aruba yet. 5. Less people around everywhere.

Yeah, what ever happened to spring?? We go right from winter to summer these days
, the closest we get to spring is a little back and forth in April and May, but never really any sustained temps in the 60's and 70's.

I agree with Tom... anytime is a good time to go to Aruba. My time is the first 3 weeks of February. Holidays are over, winter's in full swing and by the time I get home, there's not much of winter left. Although this is probably one of the busiest times on the island, and things are a bit crowded, it's all I've ever known. Carnival is in full swing, I get to spend time with all my timeshare friends from around the US and abroad.... who could ask for anything more??

I prefer the end of February to the beginning of March. Just when you you've had enough of winter, Aruba provides for a wonderful break. When you get back home you can survive the last few weeks.

We go the middle of February to the middle of March in order to get out of the awful North East weather. We than go back from the end of June to Labor Day. We go the summer season to get out of the humidity and because that is when my wife is on vacation . I like the summer months a little better because it is not so crowded. Saying this I have to vote for anytime of the year is the best time to be in Aruba.

I am partial to August. No particular reason, but then again many reasons <smile>
Been there in August, November, December, January and April. All terrific times to visit. This Fall we'll be there in Sept. I am sure we will love it then too. |

Hello all,
New to this bb stuff and forgive me if I don't do this just right! Nice to see a place where people like me love Aruba so much. Anyway, my vote for favorite time to visit is late September because my honey and I both celebrate birthdays at that time. I always rub it in to our friends that they don't get a trip to paradise for their birthdays . Although our first visit was in April, and it was great too! Let's face it...any time is fun time in Aruba .I consider it my home away from home, and if it were possible, I think ,no I know we would be permanently planted on the beach under a palapa with a little bucket of beer, watching the sun set, and crazy life go by. To bad the rest of life has to interfere with that dream .Looking forward to be part of the community. |

We've been to Aruba in Jan., May, June, Oct. & Nov. I swore I would never go back during the winter months and have to come back and face the cold weather. However, we have been there twice in late November over the Thanksgiving holidays and really like that time of the year best. Fewer people, fewer children and when we return winter is still not quite underway so we don't have to make that extreem adjustment. But no matter, anytime is a good time to be there.
