Love ABC, We went last year for the first time....so we bought two weeks. We live in San Diego, Cal. So needless to say we fly a long way to get there so we make the best of it. Our unit is right on the beach, I love it as there is not obstruction, just out the door and I am on my chickie. 15 more days and we will be there for two week. I can hardly wait for the refurbishing to be finished. I am happy to see this forum for ABC owners...there has been a lack of one....I will pass this on.

Hi All,
Just a few lines. Heard from our aruba family of vacationers that the new restaurant over the beach is perfect for a late afternoon supper watching the ships sail by and enjoying well prepared meal from either international or arubian menu. Enjoy the happy times in "One Happy Island". |

Hi all,
At the Aruba Beach Club a new restaurant has been built and is now operating. It is located above the beach by the tortuga pool bar. Named "On the Beach". Not only has everyone eaten there raved about both the food and service, but the view and the sound of the waves hitting the beach makes for a romantic setting, especially in the evening by lamp light. they serve 3 meals daily. Like they say "try it, you'll like it". When you check in on your first day having your dinner on the beach will certainly put you in the Aruba frame of mind. Poko, poko (slow slow) |

Just returned from two weeks at the ABC, hubby stayed for Three weeks...he sent me home. Acutally he needed the extra rest. Had a wonderful and relaxing stay. Did some snorkeling on our own as well as with the pelican tours, sunset cruise, Carlos and Charlies bus...Had a great time. I love the fact that I don't have to fight for a palapa, and the water is right out our door. Sunsets were beautiful, it rained several time which was a welcome relief and was just a brief shower or two. The weather reports always say there will be showers. But the sun is always shining the reports are usually not as reported. During my husbands stay at ABC, he stated they have begun the remodel on the resort. They started with the four story tower. Tried several new places to eat, smokey Joe's for ribs, this was a great place really kickback and low key. King Ribs, chicken was excellent, picked this up one night we didn't feel like going out, brought it back to our room and ate on our balcony. As far as the ABC goes, it is great and If I need fun and excitement I can take a cab or a bus...and head on over to the high rise's. It is nice to party, but I love the peace and quiet. Oh by the way every other Thursday there is a group with a female singer at the ABC happy hour. Check them out they are great...2 for 1 drinks!

Went on our third trip to Aruba 4/30-5/9. Was given a free week from II for buying our t/s back in Sept. Decided to stay in town (Ren Ocean Suites) because we stayed in Palm Beach 2x's and will be going to Eagle Beach for the rest of our lives (LaCabana) starting this November. Liked being in "Town" but still prefer Eagle or Palm. Went to orientation the first day and won an ABC Jeep Safari for a full day. Did it the previous year with DePalm so was glad to do it with another company to compare. Had a blast, but wow, what a long day, picked us up at 8:15am and dropped us off at 7:00pm. Took a trip down to LaCabana and hung out there for one day. Other than that...hung at the pool the entire remaining stay. Only went to private island once (I know, I know). Ate at some new places (for us aleast), MJ's (Great), Pirates Nest (Liked very much), Don Carlos (ate their 2x's we liked it that much), Waterfront CrabHouse (Great as well). then hit the old favs: Iguana Joe's, El Gaucho and Texas De Brazil. In November we plan on doing the supermarket thing and eating in alot cause we're bringing the kids!! Didn't want it to end so we stayed 1 extra day. Only cost us 93.00 to change our plane and thank you Ren...they forgot to charge us the extra night. All and all...a wonderful time was had by ALL..... (This might get moved to the trip report thread)
