My daughter Tina is getting married today and the weather report for New Jersey is horrendous. It's suppose to be worse than just rain - strong thunderstorms, large hail and strong winds. It's been beautiful here all week; last Saturday was beautiful weather. We had the church reherersal and reheresal dinner tonight. Brad, Tina's almost husband went out and bought 10 golf umbrellas. I'm so upset. We have no control over weather but I was hoping for glorious weather for our only child's wedding day.

Liz, I feel your frustration. With a little luck, maybe the rains and winds will hold off long enough for your daughter to make it into and out of the church without needing those umbrellas. I will pray for a bit of sun in NJ today. Oh, and congratulations.

liz, many religions believe that rain on a wedding day is good luck. i wish it would have rained on my daughter's wedding day, lol.

just be safe, party well, send the father of the bride a hug from me, and wish tina and brad the best from all of us.

Liz...congratulations to your daughter and soon-to-be son. The weather in PA was calling for the same weather today. It has been raining since 4 a.m. and we are under a tornado watch until 11 a.m. But they are now calling for some clearing, so maybe if it reaches Jersey early enough the wedding will be uneffected. Hope that all goes well. Funny, last year at this time we were in Vegas for the wedding of our daughter...her 1st anniversary is tomorrow. Times flys for sure. Good luck today.
