Default My Daughter's Wedding and Pictures

Tina (our only child) FINALLY got married a week ago last Saturday - May 31st. At 36 1/2 years old it was about time!! LOL. Her father (Charlie) was a very proud and honored Daddy to give Tina's hand in marriage to Brad.

The weather report in N.J. for their wedding day was thunderstorms and hail (what gives with that - hail on May 31). Even though rain on a wedding is suppose to be good luck (who made that up), I wished for beautiful weather for their special day. The weather turned out not too bad at all. It did pour about 2 hours before the wedding. After the ceremony outside the church when we were taking pictures there was some sprinkles but no too bad.

The Mass was at 2:30 pm at Tina's church; 20 mins. from where Charlie & I live. I was worried what everyone was going to do between Church and the Reception since the Cocktail Hour was at 6:00 and dinner 7:00 pm. Between Tina being about 15 mins late going into the Church and the time to take pictures outside after the ceremony, time did fly.

Since my brother & his wife in Pennsylvania (near New Hope) were giving a wedding brunch the next day, Tina & Brad didn't leave for their honeymoon until Monday. They took Continental out of Newark at 8:30 am getting to Aruba around 1 pm. They had to wait all day for their Insel Air flight to Curacao. There flight was around 8:00 that evening. That was a loooong day.

They were staying at the Marriott in Curacao till last Saturday. On Saturday they were flying back to Aruba to stay at Casa del Mar for a week (they were using Brad's Aunt's timeshare). Sadly they received a call from Brad's mother on Wednesday morning saying that Brad's grandmother died.

The next morning at 7 am they flew out of Curacao to Aruba; getting the early morning AA flight to Miami, then changing to Newark. Charlie picked them up Thursday afternoon at 4 pm. They went to the wake Thursday nite and funeral on Friday.

Saturday morning at 5:30 am Charlie left to take them back to Newark for their 8:30 am flight back to Aruba. I checked their flight status and they got in 25 mins. late at 1:30 am. I felt so bad for them having to come home but Brad was very close to his grandmother. Beside having to come home, it cost them another $1300 for the flights and only spending a 1 1/2 in Curacao before hearing the bad news.

They are now finally in Aruba on their honeymoon at Casa del Mar. I know last night they went to Gianni's for dinner. Tina was presented with a dozen roses when she arrived at Gianni's. From the lady I know at Gianni's, I was told that Tina & Brad were going tonigh to Windows of Aruba at Divi. Wonder if they liked it there as I don't like their menu.

I made a website of pictures of Tina & Brad's wedding pictures

So you got the best of both worlds; it rained on their wedding day for good luck but it quit two hours before the wedding itself so as not to mess up the ceremony. Perfect!

Beautiful videos.

Shakespeare said it best: All's well that ends well!

Congrats and best of luck to everyone!

PS: ElisabethNJ, I see you're at Point Pleasant Beach, NJ. Used to steam past there in a tug boat all the time. Somer's Point, too. All those points. Beware of rogue waves and waves of rogues!
