first of all, i want to thank flora for suggesting this section. second i want to thank daphne for steering me in the right direction.

as you can see, we now have a calendar at the top of this section. we hope that people will now post the day they are arriving in aruba and how long they are staying. if you can put your screen name and the number of days (i.e. sherry-7 days) that will help people to find you and start a party.

it is fairly easy to create a party once you have names of people. many of the hotels and timeshares really want a group of fun people making their bar a party place at happy hour. amsterdam manor is one that comes to mind and i know that costa linda would really enjoy people there too. if you plan at least a few weeks before you can email the hotel or timeshare and verify that they have room for the group.

i will be glad to get things started (not that i know what i am doing, lol) so if you have difficulty just personal message me.

gee, i wonder if the calendar goes until next august so i can get a head start on my next party.

Thanks so much for fixing my error!(sometimes things just don't make to much sense to this older brain.lol.) You do a great job. I think this a great idea too! Now we can see at a glance who will be in Aruba at the same time as us. Just need a code word or some piece of clothing that will help us determine a fellow bber..

I agree with all the above, especially the part about a code word or clothing for ID purposes - we got to AM bar for the BB party but couldn't find/identify anyone (Amy, Andrea, etc) so we left sadly...

We arrived late (almost 6 PM), and couldn't stay long because of reservations at MJ's, but we really wanted to meet the BBers - we didn't even get to take a pic under 'the tree'. The hustle was worth it though, the dinner at MJ's was EXCELLENT.

Awwwwww, Kevin.....I can't believe you were there and we missed you!!! I was there from 5pm til probably around 7pm. I saw Andrea right away when I got there but the bar got really packed by 5:30pm. We were sitting at the table to your right as you came up the stairs - kind of in the corner. Andrea and I were talking about you and I kept looking over my shoulder to see if I would recognize you but I guess it wasn't meant to be. I'm soooooo bummed that you were there and we missed you.

I probably looked right into your eyes - I was trying to make eye contact with everyone, and then hold it for a little too long, hoping that someone would say "Kevin?"...there were 2 tables that I thought might have been the BBers, and I think the table you were at was one of them (the other was at the other corner to the left of the stairs). There were 4 of us, I was leading the way with my bright red shirt, we were there from 5:55 - 6:10...think you saw us? It was very crowded...

How do I post on the June calendar I will be there? We are going from June 4-12, 2006.

hi and welcome to the board. let's see if i can get the explanation straight since i tend to screw it up more than i do it right.

first go to the section that says calendar and pick your month. then go to calendar jump and select the bb party calendar.

then click on ranged event. in title put your name(s), then put the dates and as your times i usually put midnight because it is the first thing listed and i am lazy. you can list things in the event information area such as where you are staying but it isn't necessary.

click on save event.

it is done. of course, after i tested this it took me 5 minutes to remember how to delete my fictitious event, lol.

There is NO telling where I posted....But...I tried it again,,and voila! Now I am on both of the BB calendars....I hope to meet a few fellow BBers while I am there. I don't know how much time I will have...there are 12 of us going..all family....and that can get hairy..But we all have rented our own cars...

I posted the dates of my upcoming trip to Aruba and got a message about calendar updates need to be approved by the moderators.

I thought I did something I wasn't supposed to do so I didn't say anything about it at the time.
