Great! Probably have more time to talk on the 19th since that seems to be the smaller party of the two - seems like we're going to have ALOT of people on the 26th. It'll be fun!

We are now at 30+ for the bulletin board party on the 26th (alot of people from the other Aruba bb's are joining us!)

We're now at 40 people for the party!!!

There are also plans to have a dinner ON THE BEACH

(courtesy of Mango's) at 7pm if anyone is interested. We'll need a minimum of 25 people for the dinner. I'm already working on a 3 course menu (your choice of appetizer, entree and dessert) at a set price. I'll post more as soon as I have all of the information.

Amy...sounding better and better. Is Mango's right on Amsterdam Manor property?

I'm a high riser(please no judgements ,I love it up there) so I'm not to familiar. I hope you have me and my husband included in the count for the bb party. I know I can get him there!

If I tell him we can try a new restaurant that will help the cause.

Mango's is right on Amsterdam Manor's property but....just for our party, they have agreed to serve us dinner ON THE BEACH (near the beach bar) instead of at the restaurant (toes in the sand, tiki torches, etc.)

Hey - I like both the high rise and low rise areas. We always used to split up our two weeks - one week at the Grand and one week on Eagle Beach - to get the best of both worlds.

Should have more details about the dinner by Monday at the latest. And then I'll need people to actually confirm on the dinner part since we need a minimum number of people for the staff to do the beach dinner.

A copy of the menu is attached below. This will be a dinner ON THE BEACH (near Amsterdam Manor's beach bar) at approximately 7pm (toes in the sand, tiki torches, etc.)

We will need to know in advance if you plan on staying for dinner so that Mango's staff can prepare accordingly.

To confirm your reservation please either email me no later than Monday, Sept. 12th or email Chef Marc at Amsterdam Manor (foodandbeverage@amsterdammanor.aw) no later than Monday, Sept. 19th (please include your name and the number of people.) We need a minimum of 25 people for our dinner. Thanks!

Monday, September 26, 2005

3 course dinner with a glass of wine: $32.50/person

Appetizers:
Caribbean crab salad
Seafood soup
Shrimp cocktail served with a red cocktail sauce
Prosciutto ham with honey melon

Main courses:
Filet mignon from the grill, grilled to perfection with mushroom or garlic butter
Fresh Mahi Mahi fillet with a lime sauce
Grilled Caribbean Shrimps with a creole sauce
Grilled Chicken breast with a pineapple/curry sauce
All U can eat Baby Back Ribs! Just delicious

All main courses are served with a side salad, baked potato or rice

Desserts:
NY style cheese cake
Dutch apple pie with whipped cream
Special coffees

That's good, cause I'm trying to keep the dressier clothes to a mimimum this trip. Two weeks this time, and I'm freaking out about packing. I keep swearing that I am not going to overpack(as I always do)! I am even considering, if you can believe it, doing laundry!!! Say it ain't so

I stay for 2 weeks (16 days on this trip) and have never done laundry. As far as the dressier clothes, I only wear them at dinner (a few hours) so I just hang them up as soon as we get back to the room so they can be worn again. Seems like I mostly live in my swimsuits and shorts. You can do it!
