hi everyone!

as most of you know, we had a blast last fall in atlantic city. this fall we are going to do it again. so...let's get this started...

there are going to be two parts to the poll this year.

the first part will be a choice of two locations for the meet. please pick your preference.

the second part will be a choice of dates. we picked the month of october because it seems to be a slow month in aruba so more chance of people being available. for this section, please mark down every week that you are available. that way we can pick the one with the most people. the date is the saturday of each of the three weeks however, that will be when the big meeting takes place. last year we had quite a few people also for lunch on saturday and brunch on sunday.

I would like to add a request that people only vote if they truly intend to come. If a weekend or destination 'wins' the poll, but few of the voters actually show up, it's not fair to those who voted for another place or time.

I did not vote as I am unsure of any date in October.
I will wait and see what the final date is and if it indeed is Atlantic City.
We'd go to Atlantic City if the dates were right.

By the time I know whether or not I can make it this year, I expect the decision will have already been made. Frankly, I'm going to be saving my money for another trip that I'm going to be taking in November but, if I can make it, I'll be there wherever and whenever.

Crud. It's way too early to know. And as I told Sherry last year, I'm never good at "plans." I had intended to keep the date open last year and then I bought a house and, well, it was a crazy weekend. Glad I didn't say I was going to come when I wound up moving that weekend! LOL. I'm good for responding last minute though. Hopin' for AC for sure. And if it is AC, I can pick ya up Liz. You're on the way!

God willing I plan to be there - if it's A.C. The last A.C. get-together in Sept. was a bad time for me since we had to put our 14 year old Jessie to sleep 2 days before (maybe she was 15 yrs - I'm not sure). I'm a terrible mother for not remembering how old she was.

BTW - Jessie was our German Shepard.

Well I am going to try to attempt to go this year. As some of you remember my Dad had surgery and I had to postpone my plans. So I won't vote... but I will wait to see where you choose and go from there! I would love to meet all of you in person.

I will attempt again this year. No, I will more than attempt. I'm not really sure about the dates either but voted on Oct. 21 cause we leave for Aruba the beginning of Nov. and thought that would be a good time for us. Maybe the earlier one but we have 2 b'days in the house the first 2 weeks in Oct so the 21st sounded good.

When do you think you'll finalize? Like anywhere else I'd like to make sure I can get a reasonable room rate.

Oh yeah and I voted for AC but the Poconos is the same distance for me so it really doesn't matter, but as far as entertainment I think AC will suit everyone better (IMO).

the frustrating thing about ac is that they don't accept comps at the casino hotels until a month or two before. however, we will finalize locations by the end of may. all details will get handled later but at least location and date will be known. this will give everyone plenty of time to ask for a day off or to get on orbitz or priceline and bid for cheaper rooms.

Despite her mild meek appearance, the Queen is a high roller that seemingly has no probs getting weekends - I think it was Elisa that was doing the begging. I consider myself a high roller, but the casinos don't agree with me
