I went to Pizza Bob's the week it opened,,,unfortunately it was a few days before I had to go home...It was so GREAT that I had to summon the owner and praise him to the hilt....His prices were very inexpensive, but I suspect they were introductory....They even deliver to the beach!!!!!!!!!! I told him I would go home and chat the restaurant up on the internet...I only asked him one favor, "when I come back next year and you are so popular that you only take reservations, please just remember who I am" lol

I thought the food was great... amazing value considering the location right in the middle of the low rise hotels (where things seem to be kinda pricy). It was fun too....nice crowd....

I've never heard of Bob's Pizza...where exactly is it? Thanx

it is at the corner of the costa linda parking lot where their old accounting building was or so i have been told. at the far end of the property toward the alhambra.

Thanks to this bulletin board, my wife and I became aware of Pizza Bob’s, otherwise I doubt if we would have ever learned of its existence, as it is not very visible from the main road. We were in Aruba for 2 weeks. The first week we stopped off at Bob’s and took out one of his Bob’s special pizzas for $21. It was delicious. The following week we decided to have lunch at Bob’s just to have another of his wonderful pizzas. What a nice place to have lunch! To top it off, while playing Texas Hold’em at the Radisson, I was lucky enough to draw quads. Besides winning a hefty pot, I was given a gift certificate to Pizza Bob’s for an entrée up to $20. Of course we used it. We went back for a late dinner and both of us really enjoyed the lasagna for just $12 each. Using the gift Radisson gift certificate, I felt like I was robbing a bank. Folks, this restaurant is a real keeper. Great for families and groups, and just as great for a couple of old timers like my wife and I.

Is it a pizza place that also has some pasta dishes?

Pizza Bob’s has a limited menu. I remember about three types of lasagna, one other pasta dish, ribs (which I hear are delicious), burgers and pasta. There is nothing fancy about this restaurant, just good food and value.

I LOVE Pizza Bob's! Since I own at Costa Linda, it's just so handy to have close by. We ate there 3 or 4 times during our last visit. We loved their pizza and salads as well as their burgers (I'm not a big potato eater, but their fries were excellent!). They also had a good chicken lasagna and ribs. The funniest sight was one afternoon when Bob sent some samples over to the Costa Linda beach. The ocean was full of people, but as soon as the pizza samples were spotted, the ocean emptied out in a few seconds. I can't wait for the next visit to Aruba, which is sure to start out with dinner at Pizza Bob's.

---- Its on Costa Linda property but right next to the Ambassador Wing of Casa del Mar. People staying at Bucuti or Manchebo will have a very very short walk.

Do they open late? When do they close?

I don't know exactly when they open I know we were there around 4 pm. I know they have a happy hour that starts at 9pm. They close around midnight at least that is what I remember. Maybe someone else can get you a better timeframe. What ever time you go it is so worth it! enjoy!

Thanks Eddie, looks good. I think I asked this before but not sure... wasn't Bob one of the original owner's of Tomato Charlies??? I think he's the one who spent a couple nights at our table shooting the breeze with us when Tomato Charlies first opened.

Yes, they are both thin crust pizza. If you didn't like Pizza Bob's, you probably won't like Tomato Charlie's.

Corrine, have you tried the pizza at Hostaria da'Vittorio? You might enjoy their pizza more.

Great idea, Carol! I love their food, I am sure I would love their pizza. Can you get take-out from them?

It's been about a year since I had Tomato Charlie's, but I think their sauce was the same at Pizza Bob's. However, it might be worth stoppin in one day to get a sample in case it has changed.

Yes, you can get take out at Hostaria da'Vittorio. I've seen plenty of pizza boxes leaving there!

Carol.... I heard there's Happy Hour at Pizza Bob's at 9 pm every night. Are the drinks cheaper??? Thanks!

Don't forget, Pizza Bob's has 2 locations. One is at the PlayaLinda and the first one that opened is by Bucutie. Both places are GREAT!! We think its the BEST pizza on the Island. We always hit them about twice a week when we are there.arty:

Just saw this post and thought I would throw this in! Bob was a partner with Tomato Charlie's. He split and opened "Pizza Bob's" This is what Bob told us when we were there in June.

Right Suzie... I met Bob when he first opened Tomato Charlies, and would go from table to table to make sure everything was going good. Each time we were there, he'd sit at our table and talk to us, and always send us over desert "on the house." I love Pizza Bob's!

Pizza Bob's never disappoints us! Our first night at Costa Linda and after a long day of travel with two munchins we didn't want to go far for dinner. I had the chicken linguini, kids had 3 meat pizza, dh had a burger (I know, I know!) and our friend had the lasgna. Everyone was very pleased with their meals! Our only disappointment....we didn't get to see Bob this trip!

Called ahead on Sunday night for pizza and wings. I am certainly glad we did. They were crowded and it looked like it might be a long wait for things.

Took it back to our room and had dinner, then lunch later in the week.

Would definitely order again.

Need some ideas

My mom and I ate here Sunday night after a long day of traveling. We had a delicious pizza and shared a salad. It was very good. My only complaint is that the beer was a bit warm. Bill's pizza where Bob got his recipe from is in the town next to the town I grew up in. So it's always fun to go and have a taste of home too!!

We ate here 3 times. Very good pizza!!!

unfortunately i voted last year. last year it was excellent. this year it was average. they were out of major items like chicken and the pizza was only average. very disappointed because it was one of our favorite simple places. my burger was the only really tasty item.

The thin, crispy crust is not our favorite, but after a hard day of swimming, it was still tasty!! They had a special the night we went...pay for a medium and get a large. Had lots left over!!

we ordered 2 pizzas from Pizza Bob's on wednesday evening Aug 23.
ordered it at 5:30 told us it'd be ready by 6
got there at 6 and it was not even made or in the oven. "they forgot"
they were apologetic but in no hurry to concoct our pizzas. husband and brother in law left.

so, ordered from lacabana brc's Pizza and Pastabilities and it was good, not great, but good! it was thick crust which is not my favorite.
(actually i like my crust thin and almost burned)


so, Pizza Bob disappointed us on wednesday night. we'll give them another shot in January/Feb.

The pizza just didn't seem to be the same. Especially the crust. Service was somewhat slow and our waitress was rude. To bad that Bob sold out. We will not return.

Last week we ate there 3 times! All 3 were fabulous! The first time we got two pizzas, one large Hawaiian and one small Pepperoni/Sausage...very good and plenty to take home. Salads were fresh and the Balashi on top was very tasty! Second time I walked over (from the ABC) and brought back 2 orders of beef lasagna......it was to die for! Third visit DH ordered the lasagna again because he loved it so much and I had the salad with chicken breast on top.....and a Balashi of course! Loved this place. I'm glad it's so close! Funny, the last time we went in, the waiter seated us toward the front and explained it was because the back was very noisy (kids, large group). We were glad about that after watching them in the back of the restaurant during the meal! Thanked him profusely when we left! Can't wait to go back next year....3 new fans here.

I don't know about anyone else, but when we ate there last spring, the pizza was good, but there were birds flying all over, sitting on empty tables, under our feet, etc. It was gross!!!!

We had the exact opposite experience as you on Feb 5 or 6.
We were a group of 6. 3 had the linguiini with veggies and 3 had the beef lasagna. The lasagna folks (i was one of them) sent ours back as they were still frozen in the middle. When they came back they were thawed but still cold in the middle. We felt they were too heavy and just did not taste as we had expected. We did not bring the leftovers back as a doggie bag.
The folks in our group that had the linguini thought it was just ok. One of the linguini folks had originally ordered salad with chicken, but they were "out of salad fixings".
I don't think that i'd go back.

I guess everyone has different experiences. Since I've been here, I've eaten at Pizza Bob's at least 4 times, and never had a bad meal. The place has been packed each time, and we've had to wait in line.

i think it has to do with the phases of the moon, who is cooking that day, or if some tourist has already set a bad mood. we had some absolutely wonderful meals at pizza bob and then the last visit in august was awful. i may go back for a snack to test it out but i was totally disappointed. our leftover pizza was horrid. we adore leftover pizza. great breakfast. not this time.

Georgene and I ate here and the pizza and salad were good....but ....George had gone to the ladys room....and the toilet wouldn't flush....so when she returned to the table and the waitress returned she told her of the situation....and the lady servent said...." Oh...yea...it's been messing up....You have to take the tank lid off....and push the arm down...then it works.mg_smile

We just returned and ate pizza and wings there twice. Both times were great. I did try the pizza at Lindas Pancakes and it was really great!! We ate there 3 times. Pizza Bobs did change owners and shut the one down at Playa Linda. We stiil love it.

Pizza Bob's is our traditional 'first night' Aruba meal. It's close by and we're usually too bleary eyed from getting up at the crack of dawn, waiting at airports, changing planes etc to enjoy an expensive meal out. It's a relaxing time to just kick back, take in the early evening breeze, have a pizza and down our first Balashi. It makes for a pleasant early evening!

Love this restaurant. A nice break from all the big meals that we in Aruba. Salads are great. Burger is a nice size and pizza is a nice change.

thru our visits, this place has had it's ups and downs. as our first meal in aruba since it was on the way and we were starving, we were pleasantly surprised. the burgers were big and delish. the waitress was sweet. it was a nice beginning to our trip. we'd rate the burger an 8.
