For those of you unfamiliar with blogs:

1-You can join in more personalized or group conversations with one another.

2-You can discuss anything on any topic and get to know each other better.

3-You can provide commentary or news on a particular topic.

4-You can also make it like a journal (diary).

5-A typical blog combines text, images, and links outside to other web pages.

6-Every person that has a login name has automatically access to blogging. So for non-members they have to become a member of the board (by clicking on the register link).

7-Go to the blog page and explore it. On the left side of the page, you will see options. Take your pick. Familiarize yourself with it.

8-rss feed is nice option, your browser can read every new post and display it in its toolbar like a bookmark without ever going to that page.

9-You can interact with anyone you want.

10-You can hold great conversations.

11-In the blog cp you can choose who can view or comment on your blog. You can prevent members in your ignore list from reading.

you will start noticing that it shows more blogs than the number of members listed. as an example, today we have a total of 3 blogs. however, only my name and drinkie's show up. the third has set that account to very private. that means that all of the conversations will be only with invited guests and can not be viewed by anyone else.

the advantage of this is it is totally personal and private. no one will be interrupting what you say or do. if a person accepts your invitation to chat or whatever on your blog, only you and other members of your group will see it.

the disadvantage of this is that it is totally personal and private. there will be limited members to your group. you can't share what is discussed outside of the group.

you have a choice to make in your settings and you can change that choice at any point. just remember that if you open your board to others after it has been 'top secret', you owe the courtesy of deleting X-rated material. i honestly do not know if it will accept 'bad' words. i don't think any of us will know that until and unless it is tried. it could be an interesting experiment, lol.

Sherry, this is so neat! I've really enjoyed reading the blogs and comments. I'm trying to get up enough nerve to start my own blog. The albums are great too. I especially enjoyed yours as now I can put some names and faces together.
