Default Caribbean Palm Restaurant

The Caribbean Palm Restaurant is now open (just opened last week) where the CocoLoco Bar used to be. Apparently, one of the new owners was previously at Matthews. They are very excited to open this restaurant of their own and are really hoping their menus are pleasing to everyone.
Has anyone eaten there yet?

Here's is their Web site:

We have now had a chance to eat at this new restaurant. It is beautifully decorated (still open-air) with a new and bigger bar. The menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner are very good and they are generous with portions. Would love to see lower prices (I'm certain the menu in the restaurant had higher prices than the Web site) but they are pretty much what we are seeing everywhere. Breakfast or daily specials are the best bet for value. The only problem - slow service.

So, after two weeks we only ate at the restaurant once. Frankly, it was just too expensive for us. Before we went we were excited to have the new owners and planned to have two breakfasts, three lunches and three dinners there to show our support but, after we saw the prices and heard about the really, really slow service we opted out. Why don't new restaurants start with a manageable menu and lower profit margins to get bigger business? I spoke to a number of owners and guest at the resort who also felt they would have eaten there more often if there had been better prices. What a pity!

We ate at this new restaurant recently and loved everything about it. Anke and her staff are doing a great job.
