Default It was a blast

Today at noon, New Years Day, we got to join in the 2nd annual Aruba Polar Bear swim held at Moombas. About 150--200 of us wearing orange toques provided to us for free by the organizers charged down the beach at noon to jump into the "chilly" Caribbean. After that we were all treated to complimentary Dutch Pea Soup to warm up. What a sight to see everyone in the sea with their orange hats on and later standing around as a group on the beach eating the soup while wearing the winter toques. I hope they keep this event alive. It was a hoot.

Every day here should be NYE as the Island was so quiet today. No traffic....just a great relaxtion state.

Fireworks are going off again right now..,.:8:45pm

Moments of distress happened today. With everything closed we almost had a panic situation until we found a small Chinese owned store selling Vino and Beer.

I will make sure I take a moment to have a sip or 2 for you.

Guess lots of people were sleeping "it" off!!

I've have those panic attacks on occasion, and wind up paying through the nose at our timeshare's store. Honestly, when I go to the market, I really buy enough libations to last. The good fairy must be drinking my stash 'cause I sure as hell never remember drinking that much!!

Will you be on island in February?? I'll be there until the 26th.

Charles,

Thank you. However, the pleasure was mine. We will speak again soon. Please PM me your email address and I will be back in contact.

Charles, can you answer a baffling question? In Aruba, where does the time go? It seems like you get up in the morning and shortly thereafter the sun is setting. Similarly, you arrive and it seems like only yesterday when it is time to leave. Is there a time warp conspiracy at play in Aruba??

Regards

Aquaman
