don't buy from Holiday Transfer in Seattle, WA. It's been over 5 months and they still have not gotten me the paperwork for my Renaissance property. I've posted a link to the BBB website which shows they have a crappy rating. The only consolation I have is that I used my credit card, so I can always dispute the charge if they really screw up.

Stu, I strongly suggest you contact your credit card issuer immediately. There are time limits involved & it may already be too late but please, don't wait any longer to get the ball rolling.

Would be a good thing to call yourself at the Renaissance to see if they received the transfer request documents...
If so then it's only a question of time..., if not then request to have another set of paperwork sent again...

Well, the saga pretty much ended today. I got an email confirmation from the resort that the transfer is complete and I'm officially the owner of unit 242, week 49 at the Renaissance Aruba!
![]() While we won't be able to use our exact week, we're looking forward to possibly moving the week next year. Stu |

Thank you for the update. All to often I read a complaint or story on a forum that interests me and the poster never writes again to say how things turned out. It's like they vent the negative but don't talk about the resolution or any positive of the situation. I really appreciate people taking the time to finish their story or saga as you put it.

Hi,
I am glad your transfer went through. Just to let you know that room 242 is the second floor and part of the hotel rooms. You may want to check it out if that is the actual room you are getting. The second and fourth floor are hotel rooms. Rae |

Congratulations Stu,
I don't think you'll regret buying timeshare in Aruba. I initially bought timeshare at Aruba Beach Club in 1986. I bought week 7. I then purchased week 52 a few years later and then bought 33 and 34. When my school department chose to change the beginning of school I had no trouble selling my 33 and 34. I also sold 52 although I loved it. I now own weeks 5, 7 and 8. I rent week 6 but am always looking to purchase a week 6 at ABC. (It's never enough)

Thanks, ArubaMary! We loved the place when we stayed there; that's why we bought. Just read on another forum that someone physically went to Holiday's offices and they are all closed up.
