I just returned from Aruba Sun 2/13. I didn't know of 5 Guys there! We have four 5 Guys within 4-20 miles of our home here! Great fries with malt vinegar!

My wife looks at me funny because I use balsamic vinegar on my fries instead of mayo (which is really big here in Aruba on fries) or ketchup. Great to hear I'm not the only crazy one out there!!

They opened the 14th.

We stumbled across them on Weds the 16th and the American consultant guiding the setup for 5 Guys said that they had been open for 3 days.

Did Breezes last nite.

I"ll report on that later.

Gotta use malt vinegar on the fries! Like British ish & chips! Oh well to each there own! 5 Guys is not a grease pit burger. I know from all the posts on other forums many berate them. Also alot of folks are on Weight Watchers program. Simple; don't eat em! For those who enjoy, good. As for me, I love em & the fries with malt vinegar! I only eat occasionally here in the U.S.. Never steadily. I am curious to know if they will be the same in Aruba. An Arlington VA based chain with 500+ stores and growing! Yum.

I guess Five Guys franchises are exploding around the country and now the Caribbean.
They recently moved into 2 locations in Daytona Beach - Port Orange, FL.
We ate a Five Guys in the Albany, NY area a couple years ago. As I recall, a single is a generous serving of meat...a double is an overkill. The fries were excellent. I've like the fries with malt vinegar, but I didn't recall that as an opton in NY...maybe 5 years ago. I recall that they had many stacked boxes of potatoes in the aisle...using so many potatoes that they did not have proper storage. 5 Guys is good, just VERY much like home. Want something different in AUA? Look to places that do not sould like the US.

Some year, I AM going to try a burger with egg at Bingo's!

I'd eat one of their burgers in a minute if it was made with Argentina beef. And add me to the list of those that like vinegar on fries. Love it.

Funny you should mention that your wife looks at you in a strange manner because you use vinegar on your fries. My family all use ketchup and they also think I'm a bit odd when they see me using the Balsamic Vinegar on my fries. Yummy!

Five Guys is right up my alley. However, my next visit to my doc will put the KAIBOSCH on that kind of fun! LOL!

Going through northern Europe years ago, the standard was to have mayonaise with fries (pronounced something like my-o-nessa). It reminded me of something like tartar sauce...not straight mayonaise.

I'm not a ketchup fan. Fries with salt are OK by me. The my-o-nessa was a very rich addition.

No 5 Guys in my area so we'll have to give them a try on our next visit. I also like malt vinegar with my fries!

our 5 guys doesn't do milk shakes. personally, if i'm going for the fat and flavor, i need a vanilla shake with the extra whack of vanilla too. then a monster powernap. decent burgers though. reasonable.
