Default Cell phones

Does anyone know if your cell phone will work while in Aruba, for calling or
texting?

you need a sims card and also to check with your service to verify aruba and that your particular phone will work. charges will be much more expensive in most cases so check the price per minute.

I Love Aruba Re: Cell phones

verizon works, but you must call them to set your phone for international call. no charge for that, but calls in and out are $2.49/minute. on the website it says 1.99/min, but when we got the bill it was 2.49. i called and complained and they reduced the charges back to 1.99

If you are with sprint nextel as I am, the sprint part of your phone works, as I have used mine for the past two years

Our T-mobile service worked but it is like 2 dollars a minute....when we used it in Roatan texting was free....We are going to be there July 18-25 so we are calling t-mobile to check if texting is free there also.
