Default Jet blue

Has anyone used Jet Blue out of Boston during the month of Feb??? and how do you like them??? Is it a direct flight???
We are getting tired of American Airlines as the prices are getting higher and higher, and they are leaving later every year

I always end up booking with AA because I start looking so early for good prices-I think I booked in May for this upcoming February and got directs for under $700 for the two of us. I love JetBlue, but not being able to book early makes me take AA every year.
I will say that we had a real problem with JetBlue coming back from Tampa a couple of weeks ago. They kept delaying our flight and when I booked a different one thru JFK to Logan, we sat on the plane in New York for an hour and a half while they waited for a pilot who was delayed getting in.
I think all the airlines have their weak spots unfortunately.

Tico,
though I've never used Jet Blue I have been tempted! We grew tired of AA years ago and only fly USAir to Aruba now. Their direct flights have left on-time, without snafus, most times (none are perfect). I too start watching fares early for our December trip, and booked on USAir again for this year (great fare) but would be tempted to use JetBlue for their personal video screens! I love those things! Plus, since USAir completely removed their music it makes for a long flight sometimes. Oh well, with the money I saved on fare this year, I'll buy a portable DVD and bring it along!

havent used JB out of Boston, but have used them out of two different NY airports to two different destinations... With no issue.

Personal TV's with movie choices, etc... Newer planes. No service issues.

One of our faves.

I just got an email from Jet Blue that says that, as of tomorrow, they are opening their schedule through 2/28/10. Hope that helps someone on the Board!
5 more months until Paradise again! I need to figure out how to change my ticker!

I recieved the same notice in my e mail today. I am a True Blue member and I fly JB out of JFK. I will be flying with them to Aruba in summer 2010 or another Carribbean destination.

As for changing your ticker go to your User CP when you get to edit options look for edit signature and then you either delete the old ticker or use ticker factory and copy and paste your New one in. I will be putting my new one in for Thailand in 3 months.

We have been using USAir for the last couple years. They have changed my return flight (1/12) to stopping, so I was thinking of changing to JetBlue (the same price---also stopping---just about same times). But I was told that the tv screens go off when over water, is this true? Not sure if it is worth the change.

What happens is, on an international flight (over water), they loose the satelite TV connection, so you dont have you 17 (or whatever it is) TV stations. But what you get in return, is like 10 movie stations, where you have the option of 10 different movies to watch.

One of the stations from what i recall is also flight info... which shows a map of your position, flight speed, time, and eta to you land.. its pretty cool.

So you do kinda lose tv, but its just replaced by 'movie tv'.. at least thats how it was the past 2 or three times we used them.

We flew JB this past January non stop out of Boston. On the way down, we had TV & XM for a while until we got off the coast of US about half way down. The movies had a charge! On the way back, no TV or XM but they gave us a choice of two movies gratis.

We liked the service. We had lousy seat assignments going in, but got to the terminal early and got much better seats assigned! This was both ways!!

We have flown AA in the past and never had any problems, just lucky I guess, but would definitely fly JB again!! Previously, we usually flew charter.
Sardine time but the price was right! No more, now when you book you pay for your airline seats and they're yours!!

Three postings in three years? My my, I'll have to do better!!

i suppose we will take whichever flight gets us from point A to point B but it would be nice to have the little bit of creature comfort that we are paying for. JB is so expensive here for every flight i have checked out that i could not afford to travel with them.

of course, i am totally jealous of anyone who gets a non stop flight to aruba. no such thing any more from BWI.

and yes, you need to do better. join in our conversations.

you lose the TV portion, but the movies still play. We love Jetblue and the free flight rewards have paid for a trip or two already. I usually bring along a portable DVD player with a multi jack attachment. That way my husband daughter and I can watch a movie or dvd of our choice when the tv goes. Plus since we have to huddle together to see the screen it brings us closer LOL.

Well, after talking about JetBlue the other night, I decided to check out their web site for prices and wound up booking a trip out of Boston the first week of Nov. at the Divi AI with non stop air for the two of us! Cost? About $2885 for two! I don't know, judging by what we've paid in the past, it sounded pretty good to me!! Plus the fact that we had a credit of $257 from last January! Extras include insurance and transfers.

Up watching the Sox - Yanks tied going into the 14Th, 0 - 0!

I think he booked a package with the flight and hotel.

At this point, the Tam is $198. per night until mid Dec. depending on where you book. Now that's a good deal.

Sox lost!! Yes, that's the price for the whole package. Air both ways and the Divi for a week. We get in touch with Lisa to make arrangements for the room.

This will be our 17th trip to the Divi and we feel much at home there!!

We have used JetBlue out of NY for the last few years. It's a nice flight. Wifey found a way to lower the price of the tickets by booking on americanexpress-travel.com (not aa.com) You can book, get a better price and select Jet Blue. You can also use your aa awards and Jet Blue's points as well to get a discount on the price of the tickets.

But you need an American Express card and gets Points that way, at least that's what it looks like.

In answer to a previous question; no, we don't book through the Divi directly. Booking the hotel and air separately usually ends up more expensive than going for a package. I will add that I haven't called their US 800 number to check for deals other than those on their web site!
