Unhappy Light Freezing Rain

Our weather for the next 36 hours is light freezing rain. It started about an hour ago and I have already seen 2 accidents in front of my office. One of our major comuter highways has been closed for a 2 mile stretch between here and Tulsa. The governor has declared an ice emergency whatever that means. Ground temperature is 25 degrees f and it is a light rain coming down mixed with a few snowflakes and sleet. Freezes on contact with the cold ground, car or pavement. Will be a sheet of ice in the morning.

We're in the mid 60's here today. Tomorrow is supposed to be even warmer!

The expected winter weather in Sherry and my area only makes me look look forward with greater expectation to our leaving next week for paradise.

Come on Feb so we can watch the snow reports from poolside till March.

That's true. Today's high is going to be around 70; after that, things get back to normal with daytime highs in the 50's and overnight lows around freezing.

Oh, well. Looks like your window of opportunity for a visit is closing fast.
