Question Is more4less still in business?

Hope someone can help.

We are currently putting our planning together for our annual trip to ARUBA. We usually rent a car (several times) for a few days at a time (don't need one otherwise - have been going for years and have seen everything) and for the past few years we have rented from MORE4LESS and have been quite satisfied.

We are trying to contact them to make arrangements for our upcoming trip and we are not receiving any responses from them and are beginning to wonder if they are still in business.

If someone knows if MORE4LESS is still in business or not, would you please let us know (either way) by response on the forum or email to: webaeb@juno.com

Thank you in advance for any response.

I had contacted Ricky at More4Less a month ago (Sept) and they were in business. The email is more4less@setarnet.aw

Thanks Liz, but I have been trying the email address for the past two weeks (without a response - Rick is usually far more attentive than to let something slip) and have also noted that their website was last updated in September.

Does anyone have any more current information?

Perhaps you could try calling - they have a host of numbers, so if they're still operating you should be able to reach them:

Tel. (297) 588-7255 / 593-2864 / 733-2864 / 593-3849 / 733-3849
or Fax (297) 583-7520

Have reservation for Nov and was confirmed less than 2 weeks ago. Check your spam folder to see if replies went there.

Mark,

Have tried calling - to no avail. All other obvious approaches have been made to make contact as well. Conduct is a bit unusual for them (they are usually very attentive) that is why we are wondering.

Thanks for the reply, nonetheless.

Phillyboater,

Glad to hear of some recent contact with them, that is encouraging and that is what I really needed to see - that raises my hopes that there is just some communications glitch. Also checked SPAM and nothing was there. AM sure this will all work out - would be disappointed if they were no longer in business - good operation and it is well run with people who tend to care.

Thanks, again, for your input.

Phillyboater,

Thank you, again, I have used the website and the proper email address and am still not getting a response. It is encouraging that you are and I will continue to see what I can do to get one. What you provided is really what I needed which is that here has been a recent confirmation from them and that is a good sign. I would be disappointed if they ever closed shop. Generally I am not a fan of car rental places but MORE4LESS does one of the better jobs in ARUBA for that.

Thanks, again.

BUDA

TO ALL OTHERS - Looks like the answer to the question is YES, so additional input is not needed. Thanks to all who sent input.

For what its worth, I e-mailed them at 9 am this morning for a rental for winter and in less than 2 hours, he responded back with pictures and 3 e-mails. Thats faster tham all the other rental places. Kent

DEAR EVERYONE,

Thank you all for your helpful input. I finally did hear from MORE4LESS and am delighted to know that they are still in business. For some reason my communications went unanswered for a lengthier than normal time and that raised the concern. All seems well with MORE4LESS and NO FURTHER RESPONSES WILL BE POSTED.

Thanks again.

When you did receive a response from more4less, did you ask why you didn't receive a response sooner? As others indicated they had emailed and got quick responses, I would want to know if they rent on a first come, first served basis. I would not want to think I had missed a rental
due to something which was not my fault!

CARIBRJ,

The response we received was an email response/confirmation so we did not have a chance to enter into a dialogue about it besides we were too happy to receive it to even think of asking why it took so long (the people at MORE4LESS are really nice and there was no reason to question them). Our reservation request was for some length of time out into the future (into peak season weeks) , so they may not have seen the need to respond quickly. As for your rental concern, though I cannot be certain, it would only seem logical that any car rental place (or any other place that takes reservations) would rent or reserve on a first come first served basis. To our knowledge, there are a limited number of rental cars in ARUBA and that is a (government) regulated matter. In the past we have made inquiry of some other rental places and have been turned down because they did not have any vehicles available for the time period we were interested in. SO, if you are planning on renting or making other reservations then, by all means, make your reservations as early as possible to maximize the probability of success and satisfaction - especially if you are going to ARUBA during peak season (roughly January to April with February and March being the real peak).
