Default Need just one night's stay

Hello - our flight out of Aruba is Sunday instead of Saturday as usual and we will be forced to spend an extra night on the island (oh darn!) We can always stay one more night at our own timeshare at the Divi, albeit with a room change, but we thought maybe we'd like to try something different.

I know many places have a 'minimum' stay that we will not meet, but does anyone have any ideas where we can stay for just one Saturday night? This will be for the beginning of October so 'low' season.

Kent Gerber from this board has reported great experiences staying at Club Arias. Matter of fact, we are going to try staying there ourselves instead of accelerating at Divi on our trip in March. It's in Savaneta and is like a Bed & Breakfast. We have never stayed there ourselves, but have heard good things. Aside from being off the beaten path a bit, it sounds nice, and there is no minimum stay. Here's a link where you can actually tour each room. There are only like 10 or 11 rooms, but they may have one available since it's not high season.

Club Arias - Aruba, Bed and Breakfast, Luxury Resort Guest Hotel

Wow - I had never heard of this place. It looks really nice! My husband is sure to balk at the $200 a night price tho - even if it includes breakfast. His idea of breakfast is a cup of coffee. They do have a 'nook' room that is quite reasonable but you have to shower outside because there is only a toilet and sink in the bathroom. I'm not sure I could do that one!

the outside shower is not revealing. i don't remember the 'nook' room but i can tell you that the place is lovely. it is not your average bed and breakfast.

We are spending our 1st night in the nook, then 2 weeks at our Divi timeshare, and then our last 8 days in a regular room at ClubArias. As far as the $$ goes, how much cheaper is it for an extra night at Divi? I can't remember the exact price, but whenever we need an extra night at Divi, seems it's not a whole lot less than $200. And clubarias does not have that energy surcharge charged at Divi. If they quote $200, that's what you pay, $200 - no extra charges. Maybe that will appease your husband a bit? And I've heard from a lot of people that they PREFERRED the outside shower even when they had one in their room. Showering under the stars they called it.

Sherry, we're actually pretty excited about staying somewhere different and Arias is wonderful to talk and deal with. It's going to be a little different for us especially on those late night casino trips and not being right across from the beach, but am still looking forward to a new experience.

We like to stay an extra night like that at the Renaissance downtown and spend a day on their private island.

Home - Paradise Found Aruba

A lovely little bed and breakfast in Pos Chiquito. Very affordable and immaculately clean. Check it out.

Having met the couple and visiting their home I would highly recommend it also.
