No, No, No. No fried chicken for you. You have to fit into your bikini in August.

Do they still have the white trucks that park on the street at night and sell fried chicken (amongst other things)? That was the best chicken I ever had on the island (that wasn't made by my mother).

Believe it or not, the Wendys has very good fried chicken. At least it did last time we were there.

I'm not a great ribs fan, so I always got the white meat chicken at King Ribs...not fried, but good and plentiful.
I have heard that King Ribs may have gone "belly up", but their prices were reasonable and the food was good.

Also, we were tired and hungry after our arrival last September. There were 4 of us and we picked up two of the rotisserie chickens at Ling's. Cost was about $6 each...they were similar to what would buy at the local market at home, like Publix in Florida or Sam's or WalMart. With a couple side dishes and a bottle of wine, it made a good first night dinner. Plus, there were leftovers for another meal...we used the chicken for a quick stir-fry one night.

It's more rotisserie than fried, but we like La Granja chicken! There's one in Savaneta and another up toward Tanki Flip, I think.

Just read reviews of Cubas Cookin at www.restaurantsaruba.com. Talk about night and day. It seems they must have two sets of waitstaff and two chefs. You either love this place or hate it. Hard to figure.

the one in tanki flip closed down, there is another one in oranjestad too. it's the road that passes in front of the court house (coming from the bus station). just keep going and at the end before the curve on your right.

I love Cuba's Cooking. We try to go every time we go to Aruba! We have never had a bad meal, we usually get a Cuban specialty.

Thats the way it is with most reviews. You have some people that experience an off night and if they have nothing to compare it to they assume there is experience is the way it always is. It stinks to see some great restaurants get poor reviews, especially because some people are just difficult
