If you returned on US Air were you charged for luggage?
I thought I have read where some one was not charged. |

In Sept 2009 they charged me 15.00 for first checked bag and 25.00 for a second checked bag.....I believe those prices are still the same, but to be sure call the airline itself.

I think all of them charge for bags(except South West) unless you buy full fare tickets. I see American is going to charge $8 for a blanket and pillow now. American doesnt charge for bags(yet)if you are on a full fare coach or first or business class ticket. Frequent flyer tickets are considered full fare at this time.

Last October AA did not charge for International flights, and Aruba is considered international, how nice of them rat b...... and I didn't fly full fare coach.
The Feb 1 changes look like the are keeping it free to Aruba. http://www.aa.com/i18n/utility/041208_CheckBagFee.jsp Looks like US Air is charging pretty hefty fees and Aruba seems to be in the non free catagory. US Airways | Fly with US

We flew Spirit the last two years and they charge for everything...including air to breathe. Liked the service, but hate the extra charges.
Just booked today for September with AirTran out of Orlando...non-stop...coach with seat selection charges was $386.50 each, round-trip...lowest we have paid in umpteen years. I think it will still cost us $30 each for 1 checked bag, round trip. As far as I can see, they did not offer the option to prepay. Would like to travel lighter, but we stay for 3 weeks and it is a challenge to keep it under 50 lbs checked. |

We flew on USAir from Boston in December and upgraded to First Class using miles. They don't charge FC customers for bags. We flew back home in Coach and they still didn't charge us! Nice!
USAir will no longer be flying non-stop from Boston after June 1st...only connections through Charlotte. JetBlue will get my money now....I want direct flights. Dee |

We flew Jet-Blue non-stop to and from. They are "THE BEST"
We were told get to the Airport 3 hours early for international flights. Fortunately I didn't pay much attention to that. We arrived at Logan (Boston) 2 hours early, we ended up sitting at the gate for 1.5 hours. Leaving Aruba, same thing, we got there 1.5 hours early and waited at the gate for about an hour. Once again, this being at least our 8th experience with Jet-Blue I really have to say, they are really the best by more than a little. Bill & Donna |
