Hope it's not too boring.....I promise better stories and more interesting photos when I'm there in Sept. for 17 days! This trip was too quick and I just wanted to relax and do nothing - so I did!

Sounds like you had a lot of beers and a lot of fun! You are so lucky, I wish I could get away by myself and soak up the Aruba sun.

We will be leaving in exactly one week and I have already booked Passions for our beach dinner after reading one of your past trip reports.

You mentioned The Promedade Restaurant............I have made 2 attempts at making reservations however I am not getting a response or confirmation. Do you have any suggestions? If I do not hear back from them I am thinking about going to Ruinas del Mar at the Hyattt. Do you think that would be a better choice?

Tammy - I have found that many of the restaurants in Aruba do not check their email regularly. When you get to Aruba, you can have the concierge call to make a reservation. Of the two, I would say Ruias del Mar is nicer especially if you have a table by the black swans.

It sounds like the perfect relaxing vacation!

I agree with Liz - Ruinas del Mar at the Hyatt is a nicer restaurant but make sure you ask for a table outside by the moat. You can always call the Promenade once you arrive in Aruba for reservations - we never make reservations until we get there and have never had any problems getting in to most places for dinner. Have a great trip!!

And thank you to everyone for the nice comments....I honestly didn't feel like I did anything and didn't know what I would write about. Sand gravity and a stack of books took over on this trip! I know in Sept. I'll be out and about with my husband there - he always has to see and do everything!

Thanks Liz & Amy, I just made reservations at the Ruinas del Mar. I have eaten there a few times before and the outside dining is on a 1st come 1st serve basis (unless you know someone) which I don't. Either way, I'm sure it will be very enjoyable and maybe my next visit I will squeeze in The Promenade.
