Elaine,
Your too funny! But your right...I don't really mind as the time of year we go you can have your pick of Chickees. There is literally no one around.
The thing that really bugs me is that there is a family that has been coming for years during the time we are there. This will be my 5th time next June. Every year it has always been the same. The pool closes at dark. Well this family has two teenage boys. They will be swimming in the ABC pool from 8pm until midnight. I guess rules only apply to everyone else but not for them. There have been many nights I would love to take an evening swim. So This year I went and asked the guy at the desk, why are these kids allowed to swim, when the pool closed sign is up. The clerk told me that you can swim starting around 8 pm as long as you keep the noise down. He stated, that they close the pool to clean it and put the chlorine in, and that sometimes it may be to strong. So you have to wait a few hours before going in.
Also (I know I am ranting...but I guess this is the place to do it!), the same family hold a huge party every 4th of July. Their picture is on the ABC website from last year. They hold this party on the greenbelt between ABC and CDM. Well this year these the same two boys climbed up on our studio balcony to hang flag banners. Much to the dismay of my girlfriend who were staying in my studio. One was laying down and the other was coming out of the bathroom. Glad she had her bathing suit on!
They did not even ask permission, they were just climbing like little monkeys on everyones balconies to hand up these flags. I really feel they should have asked. Anyway, I went in and spoke to Cathy Brete about it. From what I have heard the Staff doesn't care to much for the family anyway, they are very bossy. At least that is what they said to me in spanish.
Ok, I'm done!
