Default Oceania Condos, Jan 21-Feb 5, 2012

It's gorgeous. I'm spoiled for staying anywhere else. It's very quiet. No bars or restaurants on the property, but it's convenient to everywhere. We never had any trouble getting a palapa on Eagle Beach. Most were taken by 10AM, but people tended to come & go, not hog them like at some resorts. Easy walk to the beach, but you do have to carry your own chairs there & back every day. We loaded them in the trunk of the car & dropped them off around 8:30AM, went back to condo for breakfast & got out on the beach around 9:30-10. We did use a cable/bicycle lock to tie the chairs to the palapa, but I don't think anyone would've bothered them. There were good waves 1 or 2 days, but mostly it was easy entry into the ocean with a smooth sandy bottom. There were no big drop offs or rocky areas, didn't even use my water shoes.

The condo has a private hot tub. That was soooo nice. We also loved the ground floor walkout to the pool. The grounds are immaculate. They are out there every day, cleaning, pruning, fixing. The pool closest to the condo is zero entry. There are plenty of chairs & lounges & shade around the pool.

There is a guard shack & they check your car every time you enter & leave. I liked that. They seemed to be paying attention, which is nice. My building had underground parking. It was great to keep the car out of the hot sun.

If you are familiar with Aruba, it would help, since Oceania sits all by itself, with no nightlife nearby. Both La Quinta & Paradise Beach Villas are an easy walk & both have restaurants. Also, Chalet Suisse & Tulips are walkable, but I wouldn't advise walking to any of them at night.

We stayed for 2 weeks & it was one of the best Aruba vacations I've had & I've been going for 11 years, stayed at 7, now 8 different resorts. The condo was spacious & had everything we needed. The full size fridge was wonderful, since we stocked up for breakfasts & lunches. There was a full stove with oven & a microwave. There was a dishwasher & a nice assortment of dishes, glasses, pots, pans & utensils.

Both bathrooms have stand up showers, there is no bathtub. This was not an issue for us, but something to keep in mind if you have small children. The beds were very comfortable. The bedroom with 2 beds could use a little more closet space, but we just ended up sharing the master bedroom closet, so it's all good.

If the owners will have me back in their home again, I will definitely like to stay there again, on my next trip to Aruba. If you want to see pictures, just click the link

The owners have done a great job on their website.
