alfredo's has become one of our staples each year. now that they are air conditioned (lord was it hot in there before) we never miss. their bread and garlic butter dip is wonderful, their food is really tasty and the portions, served in the skillet the meal was cooked in, are usually enough for lunch the next day. they also accept the visit aruba plus card and don't have a service charge.

We also eat there at least once per trip and always have leftovers. My wife loves the chicken picata and I like almost everything. The first time we ate there was on our first trip to Aruba. We were at the Aruba beach club trying to decide where to go eat when the electrcity went off. For you newbies out there, the electricy would go off about 2 times a week for many hours. Did so the first 3 trips we took to Aruba. Hasnt happened since. I think they finally fixed the problems.

Anyway there is no electricity and its dark so we get in the rental car and start driving to see if there is electricity anywhere. The only place we found that had lights was the Black Hog saloon and Alfredos, so we stopped there and ate. They have a generator or did.
Chicken picata was a special that night and thats what my wife got. I had the fetucini alfredo w/chicken. Both were excellent.
We went back the next year and my wife ordered chicken picata. The waitress said that it was not a menu item and they had it sometimes as a special but not that night. Then she said she would see if the cook had the ingredients for it and if she did she would probably make it for her. Sure enough, we got the chicken picata. I think it is on the menu now. The people at Alfredos are very nice and friendly. We will go back every trip.

We have had fairly good luck at Alfredo's. We eat there at least once every year and have not had a bad meal yet. The eating out of pan thing is not for me, but they will of course give you a plate if you ask.

Has been our one night visit for 11 years!!! Was there in Jan 06 and the place has turned for the worse. What has happened. Always been good in the past! Was VERY DISAPPOINTED.

rumor has it that they are under new ownership. the transfer of owners was last month.

As I recall, they advertised "owners from Boston, MA" - No longer the case I guess. Was it a local buisness person that took over Alfredo's??

good question and unknown answer. i guess the next person from our board who eats there can ask, lol.

The ads for Alfredos said the owners were from Boston..............not true.
They were from the Springfield area (about 80+/- miles west of boston).

I had not heard that "new" owners have taken over.

We have never had a bad meal at Alfredos! Always delicious and always way too much food.

I hope that the new owners keep the quality of the food the same or even better and the prices reasonable.

I am trying to decide if we should go there again this year. I heard that the prices went up alot? Anyone else heard this?

i didn't hear that but since it has been sold to new people it is possible. as of feb 1, the prices were the same as before.
