We had a nice meal at Bingo's about two weeks ago. The onion soup was very yummy! It was very busy that evening, as they were having an Apres Ski Party, snow, ice, and a fireplace! It was an enjoyable evening.

The only thing nicer than Bingo's is Mike arty:

We really enjoyed Bingo's - very casual but excellent food and nice relaxed feel. Most everyone around us was speaking Dutch!

I've never taken the bus in that direction (inland) so I don't know either.

I would just take a taxi from LaCabana to Bingo - that would probably be the easiest way to get there without a car. It's only a mile or two down the road going inland away from the Allegro.

if you mean on the home page of the restaurant reviews then it is a matter of someone has rated the thread not the restaurant. i am not even sure it can be done any more but there was a way for members to rate the thread. it has nothing to do with the quality of the restaurant. if you look in other sections of the board you will see that some threads have the stars there also. if someone really liked the thread they could and maybe still can 'rate' it.

Thanks sherry, I thought it had something to do with the ratings people gave about the restaurant.

Bingos is located on Palm Beach Rd, just beyoned the valero gas station and is the last business located on the end of the strip mall.

Menu, beats me. Saw it a couple of times but have forgotten.
I hear the onion soup is out of this world.

Those that have eaten there say it is good.

We started out over a year ago and people really seem to enjoy our restaurant; nice local ambiance and fair prices. A bit different then the "tourist" restaurants on the island.

It's in Noord on Palm Beach Road. From the main turn inland on the corner where Wendy's is. Or straight when you come frome the Hyatt, Holiday Inn etc direction. Keep going till you see the Valero station on your left (you'll pass Sole Mare & Bella Luna on your right). It's in a little plaza set back from the road IMMEDIATELY after the gas station. Linda's Dutch Pancakes & Pizza is in the same plaza. Bingo's used to be The Captain's Corner.

Well we leave tomorrow morning for two fun packed weeks in Aruba (Playa Linda) We're going to try Bingo's so we can answer the poll question.

We went to Bingo last trip and now it's on our (ever growing) MUST VISIT list.

Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, atmosphere is fun and the food is excellent.

Give this restaurant . Found this restaurant on our trip in January of this year thanks to this bb. Before we went, I emailed Mike at Bingo for menu. He promptly sent me one and after I took one look at the menu, decided to try it. One word, AWESOME. The food is delicious and the prices are right. Mike came over to chat with us during our dinner. He's a great guy. The bill that evening came to $63. and included appetizer, drinks, meal. The food was outstanding. It was so good, we took some friends with us the second time. Dinner was about $100. with tip that night. We had more appetizers, drinks and desserts. Never in the 10 years that we've been coming to Aruba did we ever go a third time to a restaurant. But this year we did. As we were sitting there, I overheard someone say to the waitress that she had recommended Bingo to at least 50 people. I recognized the voice and went over and tapped her on the shoulder and said "but it was me who took you here the 1st time". It was my friend Nancy who thought so much of the restaurant she took some of her friends. The point of this long post is TRY IT - YOU WILL LIKE IT and I'm sure you will go back again and again. Besides Mike the owner, there's Frans the bartender, Ton the chef and the attentive and wonderful waitstaff who make this a 1st class dining experience. Enjoy L

This place is also on my list for this year. What kind of seating do they have (outdoor, indoor)?
Also, Do they have a children's menu? I can't get a babysitter for all the nights I am down there.

There's both indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside all 3 nights. The outdoor section is spacious. To my knowledge there's no children's menu. Email Mike and he will send you their menu.

Bingo's was one of the new restaurants we tried this last trip and it was very good! I had the Gamba, our friend had BINGO BROCHETTE, and I think my husband had one of the daily specials, our kids had something that the waitress couldn't even explain....lol! (One liked it and one did not.) Staff was very friendly and fast, other than dessert.....creme brulee was just OK, but dh's strawberry surprise was FANTASTIC! My shrimp dish was very good and the combination good food/good (friendly) service will bring us back here again and again!

mike...at the moment you are at the top of the list right below the sticky posts that stay at the top always. makes no difference how many views you have...the last post is the top post so your name is at the top any time it was the last post in the restaurant reviews to be listed.

as to bold font, no one has it. and stars...you have to earn it (one of the ways is not to nag the queen asking for unreasonable or impossible things, lol) and or someone has to rate the thread or a post on the thread. i have no control on that and neither does any other moderator nor anyone in the office.

there mike...now you have stars...aggravate the queen and i take them away.

Hi People,

The 9th of june the world cup takes off: the biggest sport event in the world!!!

Cafe & restaurant Bingo! has turned the place upside down to a big orange (holland) soccer dome.....3 42 inch plasma screens, 2 big televisions inside as well as a beamer, many events going on: such as jumping castle, take a picture with the dutch national soccer team and lots of party!!!

f you want to understand why the people go crazy with soccer: check it out or send me an email, and i will send you the schedule of the games to be played or our menu...cause at nite we will be the famous Bingo! restaurant again...
