I Love Aruba locating a copy of deed

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone could help me. My ex-husband and I purchased a timeshare at the renaissance (which was sonesta) back in 1995. We are now divorced and can't locate the original deed. I still want to keep the timeshare, and he is willing to sign the deed over to me.
Does anyone know the steps to take in order to get the timeshare only in my name?
Thanks
Jean

Hi Jeanie724,

First the is no deed at the Renaissance.
To be deeded a property need to own the land where it is build.
At the Renaissance the land is leased.
So the paper you're looking for is the Resort Lease Agreement.

If you lost it you can get another one from the resort.

You will need to file for a transfer of ownership.
There is a fee of $250.00
(Will they charge you for just a modification that I don't know)

You best move would be to email Flavia Marin at the Renaissance.
She's in charge of the Membership Contracts
Since I don't want to post her email here just look for it in the contact us section of the following website:
http://www.renaissancearubamembers.com/

Cordially,

Pierre
