How can I make sure he is legit? Is there anyway? I know there is a disclosure on their website warning about scams, how can I be sure?

I see it says recently rented, did you take it ?

Sound like a good deal,I have heard of people going through this site with no problems.

There is some things you can check...

-Full name of the owner that you are renting from.
-Get the unit # you are staying in.
-Check with the RIU and make sure they are in good standing(Maint.Fee's paid)

Example:
Members(unit owner) must complete a Member Guest form and fax to the RPC if anyone other than the member is using the timeshare unit. Example of the form below...

This is the one to talk to as the main desk does not handle timeshare check-ins.

Try to see if the owner can to mail or fax you an acknowledgement from the Riu.

I am glad I did not try and call the RIU.

As for that rental. I wish!! That one rented a few months back. This guy is offering his for $1,250 for the week and I can arrive Thursday, which is great because the rehearsal dinner is Friday night. I wish I could hold out for a lower rate, but I just can't risk the chance of another one not coming on the market.

I dont know about the thursday thing you are saying as Timeshare Check-in day is Friday to Friday.

I do know the first site i gave you is ALL run by an RPC Owner(might give you a little more peace of mind).

Thanks! You are so kind. I have sent the e-mail and am eagerly awaiting a response. My husband and I don't drink, so it doesn't make sense to get the all inclusive. We wont eat $120 worth of food a day! We will use that money to rent a car and explore, scuba dive, and eat at some restaurants.

I have to stay at the resort because I am in the wedding party and the bride is nervous she wont be able to get in contact with me....

OK,

But just a warning All inclusive is the only way to go when you stay at a resort like this.

WE are not drinkers either(love my soda/virgin frozen drinks) and i can say if we had to stay at this resort for a week and not be all-inclusive we would HATE it.

Just for the service alone,sitting poolside and getting catered to pays for itself.

The specialty restaurants are 5* ,but i like the Main Buffet restaurant the best.

Divi and occidental does not even come close to what there guests are being served. And it cost you half the price for AI as those other resort's.

Like i said we also are not drinkers and because of the rate they give us timesharers it's a no brainer.Also this is ONLY a all-inclusive resort with NO cash bars.

We would NEVER be able to afford a place like this at full price.
Just check the Riu web-site and put your dates in for the full price.

We have been going to Aruba every year since 1991 and always thought how anyone can do AI in aruba, now we love it.
